For a wedding gift, it is on average the same amount that the meal served at the reception. For a graduation gift, about $50 to $100.

For a graduation gift I normally give between $100 and $500 depending on who it is, and type of graduation. Weddings I have always spent at least $200-$600 depending again on who it is.

But I think that is more important to find something that the person or couple will truly love and appreciate and won't be thrown into storage or the trash. For my brothers graduation from H/S I paid for his summer vacation. For my best friends wedding I paid to have their living room of their new house decorated. It's more about being thoughtful and showing you know there taste and needs.

Graduation from high school - $25-50 - depending on how close I am to them. (I usually a do a gift card) From college: $75-100.

Wedding: minimum $100 - because where I come from that's the average cost per head for a reception.

Graduation, either $50 or $100 depending upon how close I was to the person. $100 for a wedding gift, unless it is a very elaborate wedding, then give more.

Depends on how close I am to the graduate or wedding couple. For my close friends, I give $50 for graduation. When my good friends got married I gave them a gift certificate to a weekend getaway place near us for $200.
Someone I'm not close with I'd probably give $20 in both cases.

It really depends on the closeness of the relationship. I just gave a $250 check for my cousin's wedding. But, I recently went to a wedding of more distant people, and gave them a $100 check.

For college graduation, I just gave a $100 check. Last year, I gave $50 for a high school graduation.

It depends on how close you are to the people.

I will usually give $100 for a graduation gift. Especially if that grad is off to college the following fall. Books are expensive.

Wedding gifts I tend to limit to $50. With a 50% divorce rate, that's all I can spend in good conscience.

A gift is a gift.For all of you that do not know the meaning of gift, here it is.1. something given: something that is given to somebody, usually on order to provide pleasure or to show gratitude ie;
a birthday gift
It is something i feel the recipient would enjoy. I do not know why people put a price on that, but they do. There is no set "price" that i have, it all depends on the person i am giving the gift to, the reason for the gift, and how close i am to the person. If anybody gets a gift and expects a certain dollar amount to be spent on them than they are boorish and ill mannered.
