I got my cousin a cd, but didn't give it in time for Christmas.
I got bored and took off the security tape off and saved the music to my computer.

The cd is pristine, and besides the securite tape missing it's in store bought condition, so would it be bad taste to still give the gift?

My bf and I have been dating for almost a year. We both are recently divorce and have been discussing marriage for a few months now. I don't know how much time should pass before I expect a serious sign of a life long commitment.

I know next to nothing about proper dining. My family thinks I'll be fine so long as I'm not eating with my feet. So I turn to the audience of yahoo answers in search of the correct behavior.
I've done some searching of my own, but I haven't been able to find any images of the proper ways to hold a fork or knife.
Any help would be appreciated.

i have asked them not to but they keep on when I back out her and his cars are parked on the street and some times i have to pull back up a little and do it over again.. when you back out their cars are right there in front of their house but behind my driveway. when my friends come to visit I always tell them to beware of the cars because i would feel terrible if they hit it and had to pay her to fix the damage. when i asked her to stop she got pissed and said never..she has a son and its to difficult to jockey the cars. (lazy)
my husband and i do it. technically im not blocked i can get in out is a pain and there is always a chance to hit one of them.

What about teachers, preachers and so on,....shouldn't everyone get a tip for doing good service rather than a select few? What about the social workers and child care providers? I recently went to the dentist and thought well hey, this lady spent a lot of time on my teeth, so why doesn't she have a tip jar or wait around for me to give her one. She did her best job, just as a hairdresser would. It just made me think about things. Wow, I think I deserve a tip too -and not just a verbal remark lol. This is not meant to offend everyone. I am just curious about your thoughts on this.

I usually don't do this. But I have seen other people ask questions about whether or not people wear shoes while inside, and some have commented that they never wear shoes in their own homes. But they always keep their shoes on when in someone else's house because it's not polite to do otherwise.

Sometimes people have come over to my place and removed their shoes upon entering because they didn't want to get the floors dirty. I found that quite considerate myself.

But what do you think?

What is the etiquette (spell?) for this?

Let's say the revolving door is the type that moves continuous (no need to push on the glass). And, from looking at it from an overhead view, the 'pie' is in 3 wedges seperated by (of course 3) vertical glass panels. With me so far, lol?

Well someone walking in front of you (a stranger) enters the revolving door... is it alright for you ALSO to enter within 'that spcace' ............... OR......... should you wait for an empty section to come around?

I'm just wondering if it would be considered imposing on a persons personal space for those 3 or 4 seconds. What do you think?

I always invite friends over all the time, for cocktails, pizza, and sometimes even cook them dinner.
I sometimes pick up the check when a group of friends go out to dinner. I make mix CD's for people. I call and visit people in the hospital when they are sick. They never do the same for me.
I send family members money when a child is born, people graduate or get married. My family never calls me they think the the phone only works one way...When I call them!
I wonder why my kindness is never repaid. People seem to take take take more than they give! They never invite me or pay for me.
Why? Should I stop giving and paying to/for people? Then they just seem to slowly disregard me all together?!?!? It seems that people like others whom are more dramatic and mistreat their friends.
What do you think?

They will make some obscure joke or negative comment about men, laugh, and then look at me and say something along the lines of "Oh, but not you!" or "No offense to you or anything!" I'm always left thinking "Uh yeah, okay, so you're trashing all men except me? I sure do feel special. I think I'll go out and buy myself a congratulatory happy meal."

So...anyone care to shed light on this, and possibly reveal some hidden logic?

We all have to be politically correct, not ask simple questions, have a sense of humor, and try not to offend anyone? What's the point of having opinions if you can't spread them or share them?

I don't know how it happens, but I just always end up losing everything....I'm not irresponsible, I'm just very forgetful. For example, I forgot my yahoo ID like 5 hours after I made it up. If I'm wearing something white I always stain it.......how come nobody else seems to be such a mess?

Is it just me or is it frustrating when you have to pick and chose your words all the time so you won't offend anyone. It's aggrevating for me because I always mean well and when I say something people always get defensive and rude. They attack you right off the bat without even asking you to clarify your statement.

To me forks are forks and spoons are spoons. They have the "salad" fork. I have no idea what the difference in the salad for than a normal fork is. I can see the difference in a soup spoon than a normal spoon. But a dessert spoon and a normal spoon?

Did they just come up with more spoons and forks to confuse people? Why are there so many?

To thank them for all their prayers and encouragement they gave me yesterday and today? It really made me feel better to know I work with people that care for me not only as a co-worker but as a person. I got the rest of the day off also, thanks to my office manager.~

The receptionist at my employer is a young lady in her late teens/early twenties. Her normal style of dress is a pair of slacks and nice top, which is perfectly acceptable. The problem is that practically every time she sits or crouches down, her g-string panties are exposed for all to see.
I'm not a prude, and I know all too well that "wardrobe malfunctions" can happen occasionally, but this happens virtually every day in front of our clients, and I'm afraid that if one was to complain to our manager it may cost her her job, or at the very least a reprimand.
Should I give her a bit of friendly advice, or just mind my own business?

My office is probably about 5x9 and I have to share it with a dweeb of an office mate. He is not even in my dept. He is a contractor who assists an administrative assistant, for those of you who dont get that it means he is assisting a secretary. He really does nothing all day except surf the net and is innappropriate to the admin. I hear him on the phone with her and he acts really wierd. She is recently married but I think she takes pity on him. Also, he is constantly closing the office door and I feel uncomfortable, so I tell him to open it. Other than the things he does that are so annoying like eating his lunch with his mouth open he just really serves no purpose and he bothers me. So, do I have the right to say anything to my boss about requesting to be moved or will i start more trouble than its worth?

This has been going on for months now, as soon as the neighbor moved in. The HOA and the Police have been contacted, but they just issue verbal warnings and have not been able to get the owner to keep the dog quiet. I don't feel comfortable speaking to the neighbor in person. This dog keeps me up all night...I rarely get a good night's sleep...and I am very frustrated. Any advice?
