I got my cousin a cd, but didn't give it in time for Christmas.
I got bored and took off the security tape off and saved the music to my computer.

The cd is pristine, and besides the securite tape missing it's in store bought condition, so would it be bad taste to still give the gift?

well, i still haven't given my friend her gift yet, and i have a cd that someone gave me for free, because she doesn't listen to it anymore.

I say still give the cd to your cousin. I'd like a gift no matter what. Someone was thinking of me and thats what matters.

I would still give it to your cousin. I know if it was my cousin I would tell them and they would just laugh at me. No harm...

i would give it to her. it is the thought that counts. who cares if there is no plastic, as long as the cd works. i am sure she will love it, unless she wants to return it. than you are screwed.

Well I would be honest and tell him/her what you stated in your question. Heck, if I was your cousin, I would not mind at all.
