Don't they make enought from the fare? Is tipping the cab driver a given and has to be done? What are your opinions?

I've worked for the same company for almost six years, and during most of that time the guy in the cube next to mine eats at his desk. Lunches, snacks, you name it. He's a very nice guy but he eats everything like it's a jar of peanut butter with no milk in sight. In other words, with his mouth open and with loud and disgusting smacking noises. At first it was mildly amusing but as the years wore on I started looking into legal precedent for insanity pleas involving premeditated murder. That was a joke but it's no joke I'm going out of my mind. I can put on headphones or make a convenient bathroom run when it happens, and am on high alert when somebody's brought in donuts or worse, but that gets old and tiring. Any creative ideas out there on how I can put a stop to this? Thanks for any help.

I hear that morals are cyclical and hopefully things like this will make a comeback here in America and hopefully in my lifetime. I get really turned on when men do things as simple as bow to me, tip their hat, and call me ma'am. A lot of Caribbean men have done that for me, and a few American men but not as many. I drool when men do these things and I could just kiss them.

A friend and I work as exotic dancers in Vegas. We both are brand new to the industry, and have a lot to learn. However, my girl is extremely arrogant, despite the fact that she a big beer belly, she needs to improve on her dance skills, and, among other things, could use some make up lessons.
She doesn't realize that by bad mouthing other (more skilled) dancers, not tipping various staff, and being snippy towards management is unprofessional and a poor reflection of her. She acts as if people are obligated to be nice to her and spend money on her.
She is pretty young, so I don't know how to communicate to her that her attitude is going to hurt her in the long run. What can I say?

I recently visited NYC & stopped in St. Patrick’s cathedral and saw a full-fledged gift shop right near the exit. I could not believe my eyes. I am catholic but do not normally go to church, however, was in complete shock when I saw this gift shop. Is it me or is this greedy? I recall reading something in my younger years about Jesus flipping over a table when people in his village were profiting off religion.

My sister was given money to send to me from other relatives . It was last month and she still has not sent it. I want to send a thank you note but I would be saying thank you for something I have not gotten. However, a lot of time has passed so I don't want to seem ungrateful. Should I send the note anyway?

I'll give a thumbs down to answers that are written in this way:

ALL CAPS
No punctuation
Rife with misspellings
Poor grammar

If it appears that the poster is using English as a second language I overlook it. But as far as I'm concerned it's inconsiderate when people don't take the time to craft their answers in a way that is easy to read/understand.

Our neighbors upstairs rarely sleep, have a chronic cough, have the television too loud, and recline in their rocking chair which wakes us up nightly. The landlord refuses to take any action other than telling them to be considerate of others. The police say about the same thing. How can I resolve this problem without spending money?

I have never been to, or involved in, a wedding. Therefore, I don't know what is customary. I have come to believe, however, that the father always walks the bride down the aisle, to 'give her away' to her future husband. My father passed away recently, and I am getting married next summer. What other options have you heard of?

Addition details, in case they become relevant. My mother is deceased as well, I have no siblings who could give me away, I have no godparents, no step parents, my father has no brother who could do it, and I have never met any of my mother's side of the family. I'm running out of options!
