The problem is that most Americans, whethere they would admit it or not, are racists. When a person chooses to date outside of their race it upsets the status quo.
You are correct when you say that it needs to stop but I fear that it willl only get worse.

Don't worry about it--mixing the races is the only way we'll really get rid of racism anyway. Do be careful though--some women I know who date a black man for a while start becoming reverse-racist or make positive generalizations about black men. There are good and bad ones of every color--dating a stupid white guy and an amazing black guy might make you think black guys are better, but the truth is YOUR black guy is better. There are great white guys and bad black men too.

hmmmm.
Well, it kind of sounds (by the way you phrased your own question) that maybe you judge you. Thereby allowing their opinions to upset you.
What difference does it make what color this man is. If your attracted to each other then that's what really matters.
I have never really figured this one out either. I mean even the worst racists will proclaim that they are Christians, but when you mention the Adam & Eve thing pointing out that there where only 2 they still don't get it.
I wish you and your sweetie the very best.

I dated a black man for 4 years and I understand completely. The best way I found to deal with it was to just ignore them. Don't let others influence you IF you are happy with this person. Don't let them make you feel selfconscious and uncomfortable. Good luck

You're not about to change their minds, so you'll have to learn to disregard their opinions. And when you really think about it, those who are judging you shouldn't be in your life anyway for they are not friends.
If this fellow is important to you and you have a healthy relationship with him, it's nobody's business what colour his skin is...or rather, what colour his skin is not.

If you notice, the people who judge you are ignorant and narrow-minded. Their opinions don't matter, so don't worry about it.

Wow, where do you live? I think you should move to a more tolerant city. In any case, you can't change people so the best you can do is ignore them and keep pissing them off. Never try to please them or feel apologetic.

Why do you white women got to be stealing OUR blackmen? And they judge you because blackmen belong to blackwomen!
