A friend and I work as exotic dancers in Vegas. We both are brand new to the industry, and have a lot to learn. However, my girl is extremely arrogant, despite the fact that she a big beer belly, she needs to improve on her dance skills, and, among other things, could use some make up lessons.
She doesn't realize that by bad mouthing other (more skilled) dancers, not tipping various staff, and being snippy towards management is unprofessional and a poor reflection of her. She acts as if people are obligated to be nice to her and spend money on her.
She is pretty young, so I don't know how to communicate to her that her attitude is going to hurt her in the long run. What can I say?

Be honest with her, tell her what you see in her behavior that you feel is self-destructive. Start with something small, see how she reacts. If she turns you off and won't listen, drop it and let her go. You gotta take care of you first, so don't get into a big thing with her that could cause you more grief.

Act out of friendship, speak with compassion, and do not expect anything positive, but just speak your mind.

Make a joke like "Geez! Is it so hard to be nice to people around here?!" or else let her learn the lesson on her own. Chance are, people will grow tired or her 'tude and fire her sorry a--.
