should I mention my friend? what would be appropriate?

I responded harshly to an answerer who used the term '***'. It makes me angry, not only because it's wrong but also my wife is Japanese and I live in Japan. It could be he didn't think it was offensive, but I still feel it's wrong.

Do you report them, which I didn't do, or just tell them they are insensitive?

I'm a new smoker that has recently noticed how bad my clothes smell after I smoke, which is normal. I'm just curious, how do I get the smell out of my clothes? Mainly this is referring to a jacket, which has a hard cotton exterior.

A young couple has moved into the apt directly upstairs from me and they walk like elephants! I've lived here over 4 yrs and never, ever has anyone been so noisy or annoying, even 3 college students who had wild parties up there! The entire place shakes, sometimes my pictures tilt and objects fall from shelves, and it sounds as if they are stomping, jogging and deliberately dropping bowling balls. Their richocheting has even woken me from deep sleep and kept houseguests awake of mine awake whether I put them in the bedroom or in the livingroom!! From what I've heard of them they sound a bit rude and crude in their language and I don't feel they'll be very accomodating. I'm just finding it impossible to enjoy living here or concentrating on work, watching tv, having friends over- it's embarrassing and angering. What do you think? Ask them directly to try to be more graceful or go to the management?

I am american, but i'm living in Romania right now. It just seems that compared to the two countries.... im sorry but Americans are realy really rude to immigrants which is stupid because america is made up of immigrants... also... people I know that visited america say they have no manners, they fart and burp in public, they are all fat, go to walmart with pajama pants and slippers..... are mean to foreigners, think their sh#% doesn't stink... thinks their country is the greatest... and they are just annoyed by americans... in fact.. several people have told me that americans are ruder than the french..... anybody have an opinion?

I was picked best answer by someone whome I have like interests with and I've considered e-mailing them, but been afraid that it would come accross as strange.
I've not e-mailed anyone without invitation before and I don't want to be rude so to speak.
I rank it up there with entering someone's house without knocking.

He caught me breaking my wife's crazy anorexic like 3 meal a day diet. I got him an Ipod just in time to shut him up. Everything was going fine for the last couple of days but then I borrowed it from him and now i want to keep it. This is not unusual when I bribe him with toys or games I will usually strong arm them away from him. I would do it for the Ipod but he has photo evidence. I ripped up the first picture he showed me but he said that he has already made thousands of copies and that I'm at his mercy.Now Im worse off then before..I need a solution fast before he realizes how weak I have become.
the chain of power has been broken I need it fixed the risk is to great if If I think he is bluffing and It turns out he was not

I have an old friend who fills my inbox with junk email everyday. I haven't received a real email from her in months. It's getting really annoying...I have tried referring her to snopes.com, and emailing her when she I see she is online to let her know how I'm doing, hoping for a real response. And so far, no response, just more chain letters and cheesy forwards. I don't want to hurt this person's feelings, but on the other hand, I find it really rude that she can find the time to send out all this crap, but can't take 10 seconds to say hello. Any suggestions?
