Would you still do it? Why or why not? I am asking you, this is not about me, thank you. Politeness is appreciated.

My husband and I enjoy going to our favorite restaurant. The service and food is great except that there is a waitress who flirts with my husband. The first time I let it go but when she did it again two months later, I gave her an odd look and tipped her only 10%. My husband agrees with me also. What should I have done or my husband should have done? What would be the best behavior to act on it? Should I notify the manager about it and what should I say? I know her first name?

2 months ago i held a garage sale and a lady came by and bought a couch from me. She said she would come back the next day and pick it up. We left it outside. She didn't show for 3 days and left a note on my door with her #. We set up another date for her to come and get it. Once again she didn't show for 3 days. She called us and asked us to set it outside that her husband would pick it up. We did and the couch was gone when I got home from work. Today, (2 months later) she comes marching up my lawn and demands her couch or her money back then her husband got in my face and was calling me a few choice expletives when I said the couch was gone and so was their money. Just want some opinions, was I in the wrong? Should I give her back her money? (It was only $30 and she told me to leave it out for her when she knew we wouldn't be home.)

Bob or Bucky? I don't know which is proper since this would be the very first time I'd ever laid eyes on this person.

Seems like it is a funny question, but can I throw myself a birthday party? I just moved into a new apartment and want to do it as a open house/housewarming/24th birthday party. Is that strange? I don't want to seem too into myself that I am throwing myself a party. All serious answers are appreciated. . . thanks :)

Everyone is scared of death. It is not any easy subject to bring up. Tell me is death involved in your life? Others will answer this question and you can find out how they handle it. This will be another tough question where the points do not matter. I'll chose one that has the best answer, but I know everyone's answer will be the best answer. Death. Do you work with it? How do you feel about it? Have you ever seen someone shot? Did you ever have a gun placed to your head? How do you deal with death in the military? Answer this question about death in your own way.........

Should muslim women be allowed to serve the public wearing burqa (head to toe veils) where eye contact is part of their job - such as in schools or government services?

Jack Straw, Phil Woolas, David Davis in the British parliament have condemned the idea of muslims wearing veils.
Tony Blair has encouraged "measured and considered way" to have a dialogue.

Western women wear tank tops showing their bodies partly. Is that OK?
Sikhs wear turban. Is that OK?
Hindu women wear Saris. Acceptable?
Jews wear tumulk. Ditto? I can go on.... about other's religious beliefs and customs.

What is wrong in being modest? They are not coerced. Women who want to wear their dress in one particular way should be allowed as long as it is not offensive to anyone or not forced to do so under duress.

What business it is of anyone - let alone the leader of a civilized nation - to comment on women's dresses? Where does it stop? When does it stop?

i personally think it's annoying if people are "too polite"...i mean i am gregerious and friendly..don't get me wrong but is it so hurrible to tell my friend the truth in the fitting room? is it sinful to not say "thank you" or "i love your dress"? WHAT IF THAT DRESS IS HIDIOUS?? wrrr it pisses me so much!! sometimes people care so much (like my aunt) that god forbid i forgot to say summin...they'll go "say please"...or if i do say summin..they'll go "that's not nice".. ya you should be polite and stuff but what should i just say "oh this outfit is awsome" and let my friend waste her cash on junk?? you know?? what do you think??

Okay so I have just realized I have been mean all ym life basicly. I wanted to change because I am afraid God will not forgive me and he will make me go to hell.I feel bad for all the people I have hurt and made fun of and taunt through middle school. But all my friends just say being nice doesn't suit me. They think I am creepy when I am "nice". So does anybody think I should try and continue being nice or just drop it? Thank You.

Last night I attended a party where there was a lot of drinking. Suddenly a verbal agruement broke out between my neighbor and her husband. I dont know what it was about, but what happened next did shock me. My neighbor grabbed her husband and swatted him on the behind. Then she made him stand in the corner facing the wall for five minutes. Like me, no one else could believe it. We all kept quiet and minded our own business too. Did she have right to humiliate him like that? After his time out he did seem nicer and was not acting like a drunken fool anymore.

I wait tables, and I was waiting on this couple, and the lady obviously had issues. She was very rude. And, her husband over-tipped me, probably to make up for what a rude ****** she was. He left me $60.00 on a $200.00 tab. And she asked me for some of it back. I was actually going to give it to her, bacause I was too busy to worry about it, but he freaked out on her when he found out what she was doing. He told me not to think about giving her some of it. They left fighting and I felt really bad.

I gave my friend, who teaches preschool, a great idea for teaching language/words/vocabulary. She used it, loved it, and turned it into a company that we use to make money on our ideas. She didin't ask me but just told me after the fact that she had turned it in, and that she'd give me the money - she was just so excited about the idea, I guess, that she turned it in without asking me, who knows - anyways - she came to my store where we talked about splitting it because she had turned it in and changed it a little - laminating it and that's about it. We never discussed figures or anything then - but now the idea did earn us some money. And now we need to split it. How should we split it? If I had never told her, then she'd have no money - and I could have turned it in at my leisure later - but if she hadn't turned it in then I 'd have no money yet for it - but could have done it later myself. Anyways MY idea, HER slight modification - so who gets what? THANKS THANKS THANKS

We are having a football themed party for our son's first birthday in November. The party is going to be during the Eagles game on Sunday. If everyone who is invited shows, there will be 5 kids (including my 1 year old) and 25 adults. I would like to serve alcohol (beer and wine) but my husband says it is innappropiate for a children's birthday party. I say that it is a party for our son, but the adults want to have a good time too. Please give me your thoughts.

...always have to pee up against something when they pee outside? There is always a tree, bush or wall involved.

Is it like male dogs peeing against things to mark their territory? Some age old instinct that you have?!
