The USA is supposed to be the most advanced country in the world but the health care system sucks, and there are entirely too many people who don't have health insurance because they can't afford it. It's disgusting.

That and the US is always rushing to help other countries. Hello, we need help HERE, last time i checked, poverty, homelessness and crime were still running rampant.

The reason why the French are supposedly rude to Americans is because when they go to France, some of them might expect the French to speak English.

I like living in America but I hate the fact we get a bad rep for the asshole Americans that foreigners have experienced. Not all Americans are mean to foreigners, think this country is better, fart and burp in public, go to Walmart in pajama pants (I sometimes go to Stop n Shop in my pajamas and I don't even like Walmart), are fat, etc. That's just very stereotypical. My family is made up of German/Irish/French immigrants.

I'm not fully crazy over illegal immigrants crossing the border to America. They're gonna overpopulate it soon.. They should just get money to get a green card.

Also one thing I find messed up...a child molestor/rapist/etc can be released out of jail but someone who only had drugs on him will stay in forever. I hate the fact that I can't go out anywhere because of child molestors everywhere (I'm 14 by the way).

i am a proud American and i do love this country and the principles it was founded on. although there are some things that i do like about America. for starters i do not like how our covt and military feel it is their job to police the rest of the world and to always butt into other countries business. also you are right Americans do think their s@#t doesn't stink which makes us out to be arrogant. as far as people visiting America from abroad the thing is this our home and we have been raised in a free land where everyone has the right to feel and act as they wish. if i feel like farting or burping in public i will. this is my home and if you can't feel comfortable at home where can you. long after those tourists are gone i will still be here full of gas. besides the are cultures and habits other countries have that we find rude. it's just a matter of tolerance and understanding.

yes there are situations here in America that concern and bother me for instance the media and the way they tell us the news in their viewpoint not the truth , that we the people forget that we are the government and the ones in office are only there because we the people said they could represent us with one voice and tthat they think they are the government and the do not tell or chose to share the truth , that the average American is not making a decent wage but housing , credit scores , groceries , and decent schools and jobs are for the rich. still all in all i wouldnt live in another country for a long peroid of time or leave America based on rudeness

the only thing i hate about this country is our legal system... its the punishments arent good enough... if u get caught stealing a car u dont go to jail unless u get caught 7 times in a stolen vehicle... thats too much.. some countrys will cut off ur arm or hand for stealing a postcard in a store.. and the only immigrants i have a problem with are the ones that are here illegally and think they are over the system because they dont have to pay social security

The biggest thing I hate about America right now is where our society is headed. Liberals are taking over more and more everyday. We preach about our freedoms, yet the liberal society is imposing rules and regulations everyday that are contradicting our freedoms this country was based on. I have come to the point now that I'm confused as to what to think. On one hand I feel very lucky and fortunate to be living in this country, but on the other, I think about how much I want to leave this country because of all the whiny liberal babies. Liberals are for themselves and theirselves only. They feel that their views are the only way and anyone that bends the other way, are wrong. I'm just tired of it.

America is my home and I do love it here!

I do worry about the current status of our educational system. George Bush's new system ("No Child Left Behind") has left a majority of today's students bucking for great test scores and the love of learning seems to be lost. Students in Europe seem to have greater opportunity with other areas, they often have good access to culture and often learn to speak multiple languages. While, American students seem to lack all these things and are somehow stuck in mediocre learning. It just seems unfair!

That's my only "hate" about America.

We, as a nation, are quite prideful to a large extent and other nations resent us for that pride.
They would be prideful too, if they had the huge economic power we have. We think we are hot sh#t because we took most of a barren continent and transformed it into a super power in less than 200 years. That's unheard of in history. Next to the Roman Empire, the global scene has never seen such an awesome advancement of civilization. Our nationalism may not be perfect, but it's understandable.

It`s a good thing you`re American, they can`t call you a Yankee wannabee like they do me. Oh! and the one about how I don`t like Americans but I will take their money. I don`t see any Americans giving me money! I really don`t hate Americans. It`s time they woke up and realized there are countries just as good as America, maybe not as rich but just as good if not better.

They should make it a requirement for students to get out of the US for a trip somewhere else in the world so they could get a world-view, that's what Americans lack the most.
