Tell me that's a joke! I can't believe people BRIBE their kids! You should tell your wife, and explain to your kid that you shouldn't have bribed him, that it was a mistake, etc.
As for your diet. 3 meal a day is actually NORMAL! However, if you were used to eating all the time, you should have to snacks: one at 10 and one at 4. And I mean a HEALTHY snack (fruit, cereals, etc.). Go to a nutritionist. That'll save time, and might prevent an argument if she sees that you're motivated now.

I guess that you have learned a valuable lesson that so many people need to learn. GROW UP AND Face THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS, It sounds to me like you need to fess up and tell your wife that you broke your diet. ask her to review her expectations and then work with her to create a workable diet. that you can stick to and that has special rewards for sticking with it. Next you need to work on your relationship with your son. First you bribe him and then you strong arm him to renege on your agreement.. That is really warped . how is your child supposed to learn about actions and consequences and trust if you don;t even follow the rules. I think that you your wife and your son need to go to counseling classes before this whole situation turns into a total disaster and someone ends up in prison or dead.

First thing first, women!! and their crazy eating! if they are not bustin out their back doors, then they are toothpickin around on their skinny vajinnys.
Okay now, onto the brat. Time for serious hardball, man. Adult to adult, you screwed this one up big time and now you DO have to gain the upper hand back NOW.,..
Okay, here is the plan. grab the boy by the ear and drag him over to the nearest fax\phone. in your hand you have a sheet of paper that says "Happy Birthday to my son, we're so proud you came out of the closet and admitted you are a fairy. We always knew it from you borrowing your mom's pantyhose, but now you are bold enough to tell everyone you are queer!! CONGRATS!!"
tell him you are faxing this to the local newspaper classified HAPPY ADS unless you get the ipod back.
Do it, claim what is yours. BE A MAN!

what a terrible parent. You make a bargain with your son and now you want to go back on it......AGAIN
Well this is a terrible amoral thing to do and will only teach him that a deal is not a deal and that adults can not be trusted.
Why not just tell the wife you want to snack between meals.
AND ACT LIKE A MAN

Ask to "borrow" it and never give it back. If he asks for it, tell him that it was recalled due to a manufacturer's defect and Santa will bring him a bigga, betta one for Christmas. When Santa fails to deliver, tell him he must have been bad that year. This way, you've got the iPod, and you're off the hook!

Why don't you stick to the diet you agreed to, stop lying to your wife, and let your kid keep what you rightfully gave him? Go out and buy yourself an iPod if you like it that much.

Tell him there's a recall. Tell him it needs to be sent back to Apple. Get it from him and never give it back.
