Given that many people with cabbage type brains give Nerd type answers in a nerd type fashion, could it be that there is an answer to this problem, or does this question simply invite more 'nerd' type answers ?

Yes - being a nerd is reserved for a very select few. What's sad are the sheer amounts of psuedo-nerds running around. I sincerely doubt most of them would know what to do with a slide rule...

It is so horrible to be considered a "nerd"? Its just a name people give a person. A stereotype that judges what people think of people they really don't know. It really doesn't mean anything other than people being jealous of others, same with all stereotypes. Maybe your question could be refined so people could understand it a little better?

sure, completely possible to be an emo and nerd: you in ordinary terms decide to throw your self out a window while somebody disses celebrity Trek... yet somewhat, only be you and enable others discern you out, there is somewhat no factor to labels

I guess nerds are labeled nerds by kids that are so stupid that they have to make fun of people that are smarter than them to try to void the gap of smartness in their life.

Well, maybe you could think about your appearance more...clothes, change glasses to contacts. I think you are so involved with intelligence that you sometimes forget about appearances.
Don't ever put others down because of lower intelligence...but Nerds don't do that so you must be an Ahole....I mean "cabbage type brains", do you have a "weenie" for a weenie?
