I am a female and I love all things...except shallow people. I love sports and cooking and the occasional,trend. But at parties and friends gathering...all they do is gossip, i don't want to hang out with the guys and talk about sports...although i would love to...but the women talk about their kids( i have none yet) or about the latest rumors. They even judge people at the party...there are some very pretty girls...and they get hated on, I don't like the gossip so I leave...often finding myself alone in a corner. some make the comments that they hate sports and thier boyfriends for watching...so sports converations are out. I could talk about the latest fashion...but that quickly turns into the latest gossip..because some bought that pair of jeans ..now they think they are hot...and then it's off to has the juicier gossip. I don't want to stay home...or stop attending the scocial events all together...but what else can I do...if i really don't like the dramatic conversations .

Meaning...now there are easier ways to get things done...ie..e-mail....IM...fax...phones just to name a few. The new and ways of useing tecknology has made the human mind not think as much. People spend so much time in front of television tubes...and playing and surfing the net, that family time along with good moderate exersice has all eroded away. There is human tragidies that are faced everyday from the internet, childpornography,adult sites,violence ,weapons all for sale at the click of a mouse.The new and advanced weapons...along with chemicals that could wipe out the human race all together. I know some technology is best ..when it comes to curing and treating illness we suffer from. Now adays children don't read anymore...they surf the net and find the answers to what they need on a single page...not knowing why and how that answer came about. The Gov...being able to watch my families every move....threw that "Land of The Free" right out the window.

I met a woman and we went back to my place. She said I had to use a condom because we were each having sex with everybody that each of us had slept with. Being a joker asked her if she was bisexual. She said, "no, I only like men." I replied, "well then, if I am having sex with everyone you had sex with, wouldn't that make me gay?" I thought this was pretty quick and funny. She didn't see the humour in the question. She got dressed and left.
Question: Why are people so uptight and serious when it comes to humour concerning sex?
I know there will be lots of smartass comments and it's OK because I like a good laugh but I would appreciate some serious insight as to what exactely I did wrong.

If a sibling hits you do you hit back?
Is someone ask you for money but clearly uses you for only that do you confront them?
If someone that you LIKE embaresses you or ask you out later turned out a joke,how would you act?
IF someone in your famiyl is sexiest,racist,old,pedophile,perverted,demanding and grumpy how do you act towards them?

At my school, in order to have your own dorm room, you have to pay $500. I didn't pay it, so I got a roommate. About a month later, he moved out and moved in with his friend, and now the school is telling me I have to pay $500.

I don't think I should have to pay it because I NEVER asked for my own room and it's not my repsonsibility to find a roommate if I never asked the first one to move out. He just left one day to live with his friend. I didn't even know he had left until I came into the room one night.

Now I've tried to find people, but everybody I find either has a roommate or they paid for their own room. But I don't think I should even have to look for a roommate since I never wanted my own room in the first place.

Any suggestions on how I should handle this?

why is it ok for heavy people to say "Oh my god your so skinny" or for someone to casually say "youve put on weight" when you weigh 112 pounds. Now, why cant we tell someone whos bigger "man your fat!!!" or "are you STILL gaining weight?" Please someone tell me why is it ok one way but taboo the other way???

I've always known it to be impolite, just wondering the reason besides bad manners to wear a cap. My nephew (12 yrs old), had a cap on, my dad took it off his head. I was a little surprised my sister didn't ask her son to take it off, I would've asked my son to do so. Is it out of respect to the resaurant owner and those around you?

Why are people in this world so inconciderate, I made a typo in one of my questions, and was insulted left and right. "What are you stupid", and other inconsiderate insults. What is the source of all this? What happened to the days when you could say hi to a total stranger, and get a "Hello, how's the weather?" back. When you could leave a quarter on your steps and recieve cold milk in the morning? Why does the majority of the Yahoo! Answers population seem like total inconciderate middle-aged morons who live in their mothers' basements? Why? I'm sorry if anyone was offended, but the truth hurts. And if the boot fits...

Not so long ago, the name of the job described it's function. Agent, advocate,accountant, project manager, surveyor, analysis, planner, project co-ordinator etc. You knew what people actually did and what they were. Stealthily the PC seudo-science psychobabble "professions" began to use them. The Media, social science, political quangos and other third rate "hard core of nothing" professions. Name a few you know and call a spade a spade.

Dude!!! He has the stankest potty breath I have ever smelled. And he's always leaning into my face when he talks to men and I always hold my breath, but I can't risk nearly suffocating any longer. My boss is very touchy and when you tell him something he doesn't like he get's really mad. I just got this job 3 weeks ago and I'm going to get paid really good, but I seriously have to have this guy buy a toothbrush. And please don't tell me to slip a breath mint in his mouth, I don't want to point out he has stank breath.

A girl is getting married and has an ivory wedding dress. Mother of the bride has been looking to buy something very nice to wear for her daughter's wedding. She finds a beautiful white blouse and top, which would be worn with black slacks. She is worried it might not be appropriate, especially since the bride is wearing ivory, she would be wearing something whiter than the bride. I have known employees that were not righteous and would go out of their way to change price or make up a sticker on clothing. I've seen it done.

I've never done it myself, though.

Honestly, I wouldn't report it because if they found out it was me, I think it would not be worth it. I've seen some of the boyfriends or friends these thieving employees hang out with and they are a bad crowd so that is why I do not report.

For all of you who say to report, have you done it before?
And did you win a reward or something?
Weren't you scared if they would come back after you?

In order to mature, one must grow up and evolve into a man or woman. Not act like a idiot that can't dress, walk or talk correctly. This country has copied the bad examples of the blacks and is turning into a country of degenerates. No, I'm not angry or mad. I am just asking because I am not that old, 26, but it seems like basic manners have gone by the wayside. It used to be that when I passed someone walking or something I would shoot a hello and get one back. Also, people used to hold the door for you if you were behind them. Service people used to be friendlier etc. I could go on, but I was just wondering if others have noticed the same thing, or if I am off my rocker? Thanks!
