I have been working for 6 years in an inbound customer service call center, taking 180 calls a day from America and Canada, and I have come to a conclusion: I am scared to death of white American women.

I dont mean to sound racist or sexist, but I do have 6 years, and over 200,000 calls as evidence. Canadian men or women give me no insults or hassles, neither do black men or women from either country. People of other ethnic origins, (based on accents and names, after all, it is on the phone) including Eastern, and Middle Eastern give me no trouble.

American women, without obvious youth in their voice, or obvious wisdom... (so adult, non senior women) give me so much trouble... they argue everything, and are so quick to insult me, they insist on dominating the conversation, they are totally unforgiving.

Any other man in my center agree, women dont agree, but they seem to have come to conclusions about other demographic groups.

just moved to new house, neighbours are all friendly but the first thing they all ask is what are you going to do with the field?its only 1/4 acre but it seems to be a local obsession and whatever we say are intensions are they are dissatisfied! any suggestions on how to deal with awkward neighbours

I try to enjoy life by not allowing certain situations to bring me down; such as the N. Korea, Iraq, and other political issues. I've lost many family members over the last few years and I've been trudgin' along just fine - until, I run into someone who says, "You joke around too much! You need to be more serious!". I'm a big guy! When I was younger I would have ripped the guys spinal cord out of his back, like in the first 'Preditor' movie; or slapped the taste of of his mouth, because I feel that he's disrespecting my aura. Now that I'm older I know better. I'd love to just lash out with my verbal 'Gatling Gun' - but, I don't. I'm attempting to change, into what I believe is a better person. Has anyone else ever felt like this? What do you think?

People give rude, obnoxious, and non-applicable answers to questions. For example, why do people answer a question about legal recourse for harassment, and not give any information about that issue? Why don't people ask for more details in a question instead of assuming things?

My neighbors invited me for dinner. I don't like to know my neighbors beyond a hello level because then they'll ask me to turn down my music or something. I think one of them likes me and another likes my buddy who I hang out with but I am not attracted to them. I also have germ issues about other people cooking for me who I don't know. I don't want to go but I don't know how this won't get awkward. Help!

Negro is the actual term for black as latino to south american/southeast europians and caucasians to white north american/north europians.
Why do some people assume offence with the word negro though in defination it means "a member of a race of humankind native to Africa and classified according to physical features (as dark skin pigmentation)"
Is there another word to be using?
African american is incorrect because not all Negro's originated from Africa or are american. (Though admittedly it's only in North American I find people offended by the word Negro {and I understand it's because of the progressive development from the word Negro to N*gg*r})

In the subways, even when I am talking to a man sitting across from me, his legs wide apart. Even though I like to conclude with the obvious--seduction. But how could that seduce a woman (if that is the purpose) Could it be for any reason? Many of my girlfriend experienced the same thing. I would appreciate honest response from men only. Even if you guys thing it is sexual, please explain with details and dont be afraid to express in honesty. Thanks!!

How would one tactfully correct the spelling and grammar of a Yahoo Groups list moderator? This is a serious issue because the person in question is taking responsibility for helping others with her groups but to some might be viewed as less intelligent because she makes a lot of mistakes. I am not terrific with spelling or grammar myself....and I don't want to make her feel put down or belittled.

My relatives from out of state have been living with my parents for about a month and haven't been able to find a rental house to move in to that meets their requirements. They want a house that's 3bd 2ba in town and not over $450 a month. This is almost impossible unless its an apartment. I don't understand why they have to go so cheap, they both work full time and the kids are older and up in high school. (they have 3 teenagers). I found them a nice rental for $550 but they said it was too pricey. To me that's cheap and they are never going to move!!
