Why not. Black people call each other n*ggers. I think that if you are part of the group, then you are allowed to call each other derogatory terms, but no one else can. I affectionately refer to my girlfriends as my whores, but no one else is allowed to do that.

I'm not gay, but I've heard a couple of my gay friends refer to each other that way. If you are just playing around and mean it in a satirical way I guess it's alright, but I've never understood people in often persecuted groups use the same derogatory words to describe themselves as the hateful people opposed to them do.

There is an unwritten rule of etiquette for using offensive terms.
If you are considered part of the group, or very close, it can be used in humor. However an outsider never can.
Many disabled people will call each other crip.
African Americans will use the 'N' word.
and the list goes on.
If you watch very many stand-up comedians, you will notice many use this in their material.

F*g is a shortened form of F*ggot, which is defined as a small bundle of sticks or twigs. whether you want to take offense is entirely up to you, however i wouldn't recommend using the term around too many people that don't know you,or what you mean by it. Don't forget that it is generally used as a derogatory term, and take care!!!
