My relatives from out of state have been living with my parents for about a month and haven't been able to find a rental house to move in to that meets their requirements. They want a house that's 3bd 2ba in town and not over $450 a month. This is almost impossible unless its an apartment. I don't understand why they have to go so cheap, they both work full time and the kids are older and up in high school. (they have 3 teenagers). I found them a nice rental for $550 but they said it was too pricey. To me that's cheap and they are never going to move!!

Give them an ultimatum, tell them to find a place or they're out on their butts. There is no reason to put up with that. They've had plenty of time and opportunities to find a place on their own, now they're just mooching.

Just tell them straight up. It may seem mean since its family but you need to do what you need to do. Tell them that they can have one more month to look for a appartment. Then you have to kick them out if they didnt get a place in time. Dont let them walk all over you.

If they're living with your parents, it's your parents' responsibility. They should just talk to them and say something like, "Look, it's been really nice having you here, but we were hoping that you would have found a place to live by now. Please don't be here on ."

It is not up to you to decide if they should stay or leave. When and if YOUR parents get tired of their freeloading they will extricate them I'm sure.
