I'm new to the whole best friends getting married thing. Is it ok to call and say hi once in a while to her. Not like all the time, like once every few months? I know the husband too, not as well as her, but he knows me. We've done dinner before so I'm not like a total stranger. What do you all think?

I just broke up with my boyfriend of a year and a half this past Friday. Prior to the breakup, us and one of our friends had been planning a trip for our friends birthday. We were going to a concert about 3 hours away, and then getting a hotel room after. Since the birthday girl is my close friend, is it wrong for me to tell him not to come? We hadnt bought tickets or a hotel room before we broke up, so it was just something we were talking about.

My friend said it would be akward if he was there, and I agree. It's her birthday and I dont want our status to ruin it, but is it rude to tell him he cant come?

I think our society has become sterile in that we must always be on guard lest we hurt somebody's sensitivities. People are just too wrapped up in themselves and take offense at the slightest thing.

For gods sake, not all women are cheating sluts and men aren't all complete idiots. I just don't get the stereotyping.

How do you handle when a mormon or someone comes to your house to preach in the middle of a much earned dinner? Yesterday,I hear a knock at the door,I'm cooking dinner,I stop, open the shades, and there's the mormoms with nametags stating who they are,I looked at them, shut the shades, and walked away.LOL,I know I'm gonna burn in hell, but, right now, especially right now,I can't handle someone preaching to me,and even though I wasn't alone,I NEVER open my door to someone I don't know. My SO thought it was rather hilarious that I left them standing there,so,I wondered what everyone else would do in the same position?

In my website, I said this line, "After my last website crashed harder than the twin towers..." Do you think that using the twin towers is offensive? I changed it, so don't worry if you think it is.

I always tip, but it seems sometimes the delivery charge is about the same as the tip. I feel embarrassed to ask the driver if the delivery charge is supposed to replace the tip. So I just tip him anyway. For example, a Chinese Food delivery or a pizza place.

It just seems excessive to me; I'm already tipping the guy AND I have to pay the delivery charge; shouldn't they cancel each other out?

Can anyone tell my why smokers feel it is appropriate to throw their cigarette butts out the car window? Every time I am at a stop light I look out and see hundreds of butts. As far as I know all cars have an ashtray. Why do they want to mess up the country for everyone else?

I live in texas. I am asian american , meaning I have lived here all my life. I noticed there are more angry people where I live. They try to give me mean stares, so instead of glaring at them back, I say hello and smile. Almost everytime I say hello and smile to someone that glares at me, they either ignore me, or get even angrier, or continue glaring at me. Why can't people at least say "hi" it's only one word. It just bugs me that people are so rude here. Any ideas?

a friend of mine is coming over to visit in a couple weeks. She's 19, her boyfriend is also 19. The rules of the room are that people sleep in seperate beds. But she's practically throwing a tantrum about the fact that her boyfriend and she won't be able to sleep in the same bed. It's completly up to me if they're allowed to sleep in the same bed, but to be honest it makes me uncomfortable. I'm in a relationship with someone, but they're not going to be spending the night while they're here. It's more of a comfort level then anything. And before you get all "it's their choose, they're adults", this is a guy who got her pregent and because she wasn't an adult by legal standings when that happened, her parents had her abort the fetus. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to them *******. Sleeping together is one thing, but these two hardly ever do just that.
