a friend of mine is coming over to visit in a couple weeks. She's 19, her boyfriend is also 19. The rules of the room are that people sleep in seperate beds. But she's practically throwing a tantrum about the fact that her boyfriend and she won't be able to sleep in the same bed. It's completly up to me if they're allowed to sleep in the same bed, but to be honest it makes me uncomfortable. I'm in a relationship with someone, but they're not going to be spending the night while they're here. It's more of a comfort level then anything. And before you get all "it's their choose, they're adults", this is a guy who got her pregent and because she wasn't an adult by legal standings when that happened, her parents had her abort the fetus. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to them *******. Sleeping together is one thing, but these two hardly ever do just that.

You have the right to enforce your rules (however much they may be preferences). It is your place/home/room, and you have the capacity and authority to make rules, including sleeping arrangements. Of course, you can't make certain stupid rules like "no using the toilet before this time because so and so," but saying that those two sleeping together makes you feel uncomfortable is perfectly reasonable. Just tell them how you feel. If they can't understand your preferences, tell them to move to a hotel, even if they may be close friends. If something makes you feel uncomfortable, and they still do it, it may ruin your friendship. But if you guys are friends, they will have no problem understanding your preference for sleeping arrangements.

Well they are adults and they should be able to sleep in the same room. If you let them tell her no late night *****, none at all while they are visiting or then you will need them to sleep seperatly and hopefully that will be something that makes everyone happy. Good Luck. ; )

If she is throwing a "tantrum" then she is immature , and if
it makes you uncomfortable to have them share a bed in your house , then tell her she can find a motel for the night

It's real simple - follow the rules of the house or sleep somewhere else.

Really great friend! Sounds like a selfish user, not a friend.
Retract your invitation and tell them to get a room somewhere. If they such adults, they can afford it.

Interesting. Here is my feeling, if this is your house, you are paying for it, your parents are paying for it, or in some way the place that you are staying at can be assumed to be "yours", it is up to you and if she doesn't like it, she can stay home. If you are not comfortable with it, than she needs to respect your wishes.

YOUR HOUSE, YOUR RULES. IF SHE WAS MATURE, SHE WOULD ACCEPT THIS AND BE FINE.
But, don't be fooled, even if they do agree to seperate beds, they'll sneak in together. Nothing wrong with a hotel or your garage.

It's your place they are staying at. It's your rules they need to abide by. If they wanna do their thing, they need to stay somewhere else.

They are guests in your home. They need to respect your rules.

tell her that its your house, your rules. theres nothing she can do about it. If she wants to mess around, she could go mess around in a hotel.
