I don't know, years ago when I was in college I got crabs from some young thing and so for a while I was always touching my arms, neck, crotch, legs, scratching, didn't seem to matter if it was in front of a man or a women. But I don't think that's what you mean do you??

You'v not seen us guys fondle our private parts? we rub them more than the arms & necks. Cause the latex & jelly just dont
wash out completly. And if in front of woman, then we have extra work, like rub the tent that creates on pants fronts.

Actually, it's a sub-conscious reaction -- it reveals what their real intentions are.

For example, if you ever see someone scratching their necks while talking to someone they don't like or don't agree with, it's revealing their sub-conscious aggression towards the person they're talking to. They act out on themselves, what they'd like to do to other people; ie. scratch the other person.

Similarly, if men rub themselves while in the company of women, it's revealing their sub-conscious desire to touch those women.

It's all very primitive. Thank you Freud!

Men touch their arms because of several reasons and it isn't just for one:

a. Their nervous
b. They just want attention
c. They want your attention on them and only them
d. They feel that if they are looked at they feel masculin
e. To show up other guys if they are around, "like hey this is me I am big and you know it and this is mine" the whole cave man prospect.

Probably use the motion to inadvertanty draw attention either to the point or away from their eyes making contact with yours. It's a nervous habit some of us develop.

They are nervous. They feel like you are scrutinizing any areas of their bodies that are exposed and want to cover them up.

Usually to make sure you look a way that you want to look for a particular person to notice you, or just girls in general to notice you, usually in a public place.

This is what my husband does to me, and we have been married 35 years. His reason is because he loves the way I feel.
So, hopefully that is the main reason.
