Have you ever had the great pleasure of watching the Lord change someone's heart?

My wife and I witnessed to a friend of hers a few years back in of all places..........a diner in Queens New York.

We spoke & read from the Scriptures for 2 hours until we saw the Lord compell her to confess her sins to Christ.

She now lives for the Lord just outside of Milan Italy..........

It's wonderful to know that we are simply seed planters.....and God ultimately does the watering.

Thanks,

Primo

I know it sounds horrible and I don't do it all the time... but lately when guys try to have a conversation with me or express interest I tend to be really mean to them... I think it all started when I broke up with my Ex about 3 years ago. Sometimes I think it's fun or I justify my actions by saying " all they wan't is sex anyways " Any thoughts fellas?

If not why do believers usually refer to their god as a "living GOD"

I'm not saying it's not a question that has been pondered for centuries, but it has become the end all-be all for the basis of religious belief, and I'm so sick of hearing it.

I get up, go to work, drive home, maybe give the finger at other drivers, eat dinner, spend time with my husband and pets, read a book, go to bed. I dont' spend all my time worrying about creation and life after death. So why are you?

no one has achived perfection(the Lords righteousness). If I walked by Gods holy righteousness, and died. Why would he not take me into heaven, but throw me into hell?

Here is the mighty Judge, YOU GREAT SEEKER ARE JUST LIKE ME< AND I FIND YOU NOT WORTHY OF HEAVEN. ALL I SEE IS HOLINESS IN YOU AND MY VERY OWN FACE LOOKING BACK AT ME, YOU WALKED JUST LIKE I WALKED BECAUSE I MADE YOU THAT WAY, YOU DEFEATED SIN WITH MY HOLY HAND, BUT I STILL FIND YOU UNWORTHY OF HEAVEN. I CONDEM YOU TO THE FIREY PITES OF HELL YOU EVIL RIGHTEOUS BEING.

I don't believe we needed a messiah to get into heaven, or make us right with God. All we need is prayer and asking God to make us right with him again. Have you asked God this question? or do you just live your own life, thinking you are righteous enough for heaven? or like the Christians say we are all fallen...they know they are fallen but do nothing to fix it. Just look to someone eles to suffer for them.

Do you really believe Jesus (pbuh) was God?

Do you really believe he died for our sins?

I believe in God. I believe his son is Jesus, and I believe that Jesus died for us. I just choose not wo worship someone that did something that MANY other people would gladly do. (Me being one of them. I'd die for one person, so I know I'd die for the world).
On the other hand, I chose a different path. I don't call myself Satanic, but it's pretty much what I am. I don't worship ANYTHING, but I would rather worship the devil then God. I've always believed that in the end evil is stronger, wiser, and better.

Go ahead and blabble on about HOW COULD YOU NOT WORSHIP SOMEONE WHO DIED FOR YOU crap. I'm not listening.
I want some true answers of Why is religion important and why America runs on "Christianity" when regular people would be Jesus if given the chance.
I'm not saying I'm above or below any of you, I just want to know what you think of religion and satanism.

When I look at many people raised catholic I realise that most of the sacrements are received prior to any real cognitive understanding.

Baptisim, Communion and Confirmation are typicaly taken prior to being 12 years old. At that age its difficult for many people fully grasp (if you could at any age) the magnitude ad mystery of Salvation through Christ.

People do leave the Catholic church and either stop going or move to a Protestant denomination could it be because they never really get thought the actual meaning of the Mass and what it is for.

I find some protestant denominations a lot more "fun" than mass can be as they are geared more towards our need for entertainment rather than the model that the early apostles would have adopted (mass).

So when people do leave is it because they are not properly understanding their faith and when they return (often as adults) is it because they do. What do you think.

I used to live in a constant state of mystical thought and wonder. After some in depth study of human nature, linguistics, and art interpretation; I seem to have lost my inspiration and previous beliefs. I liked these and now want to find a way back to the previous mindset. Durring my studies I developed a critical mindset that I think weakened the ability to believe in those previous ideals. I am wondering how I can become re-inspired. Unfortunatly, I cannot try to just believe in the same ideas, my studies have eliminated that possibility. I am looking for an intellegent mystical mindset, not the psuedo-scientific or simply new-agey stuff. I do believe in the mysterious and the unexplainable. Any suggestions for reading material?

I think it really is for most pople. They want to believe, they say they believe but they don't really don't. I say this because I would think that if they really believed, that nothing else in life would matter at all. How could they care who won a football game for example? Or what was the latest television show or event in pop culture? How could they even work at much else than saving souls? At least every spare minute would be used to try and do this. I don't think they are true believers by their actions. Why aren't they happy when a loved one dies? After all, they get to go to heaven. Does this make sense?

So, I've found that when something bad or negative happens in my life, I'm more prone to blame myself or circumstances but when something good happens, I'm prone to thank God for it.

What do you do? Are you more apt to thank yourself or blame yourself?

The reason this bothers me is that I go to a very small church in a very small town. Everyone except the one Jewish husband goes up to get communion. I have never been baptized. I have been going to the church and been active for 15 years now.
So far I have avoided being put on the spot directly. But often 'they' want me to lead Sunday school or take more of a role and I don't feel I should, I hardly read the bible. If I ever told anyone I'd never been baptized I would be 'in for it' with a lot of people trying to get me to do it, and telling me what I fake I have been for taking communion. I just find it easier to take the communion. I believe in an afterlife and I believe Jesus was a very important link to moral living and the spirit world. But to me, getting baptized is all about saying 'every other religion' is wrong and I don't feel that way. But isn't baptism supposed to be your admitting that Jesus is the only way to heaven? Help !

not that i'm saying i get alot, but my initial reaction is to tell people that 'oh no, i'm not pretty" or to quickly change the subject. i KNOW that i'm not handling these well, but i've never figured out the right way to take a compliment. i've tried just saying thank you, but it always sounds forced.
