I follow some traditions. The one I dislike the most is the whole funeral idea. I dont understand why people go to a funeral to stare at a dead person. What is the point? Why show them off in a casket, like a prize. It is sick and I have never understood it. We should remember them when they were alive, the good times. I dont look at deceased people anymore, I dont want the picture in my head. I want to remember that person alive. Hate it.

Traditions and customs are so widely varied even across the United States, it depends entirely on the traditions/customs you're talking about, and where you happen to be. I do know one thing: When in Rome, do as the Romans. That applies to USians, too; when I'm in New York, I don't try to strike up a conversation with a stranger on the street, and when I'm in Memphis, I'll eat fried okra when it served to me, and be grateful for it, whether I like it or not. It's just a matter of respect for the people you're around when you're on their home turf. (And when it comes to other countries, bending to local tradition/customs is sometimes a matter of personal safety, too!)

Which traditions and customs are you referring to specifically? There are some I follow and some I don't, but I don't know which ones you're referring to. Sorry, no star.

I follow my Catholic traditions. I am of Czech heritage so many of our family customs came from Czechlovakia. I am interested in other cultures and customs here in the U.S. There are many different customs here and people are welcome to keep their customs. Hopefully, the new immigrants will learn English so they will be able to move ahead in their careers. If they don't learn English, it will stop them from attaining a better career.
