You cannot kill God. The reference to a "living God" is to draw a line between Jesus and the dead "Gods" that are being worshiped or the idols made of stone or wood that have no life.

Time usually kills off the deities of yesteryear. Not a lot of folk worship Mithras or Adonis or Dionysus today although elements of their cults remain embedded in current religion. Take Mithras for example, his birthday was celebrated on 25th December and we know who has that date for a birthday today. Yes, Gods can be killed off given sufficient time but element will remain.

Not all gods have been written as immortal. Osiris died. All the Norse gods were going to die. So yes a god can be killed.

LOL Christians believe God died on the cross
How can you worship a God that is so weak he can be killed or dies LOL
You are wrong to say this is the montheistic view
In Islam and Judaism God can never die, In Islam he is eternal and living- the causer of life and death who never dies
