Have you ever had the great pleasure of watching the Lord change someone's heart?

My wife and I witnessed to a friend of hers a few years back in of all places..........a diner in Queens New York.

We spoke & read from the Scriptures for 2 hours until we saw the Lord compell her to confess her sins to Christ.

She now lives for the Lord just outside of Milan Italy..........

It's wonderful to know that we are simply seed planters.....and God ultimately does the watering.

Thanks,

Primo

Pangel.......
We love you too.

But I promise you.......it wasn't a constant reading.......more like intermittant. Time just got away from us.

Oh Katie:
I appreciate your kind-hearted approach to what you said but.......all people need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.....because all are sinners in need of the Savior.

For those who keep assuming reading the Bible to someone would only bore them, let me remind you what Romans 10:17 says "For faith comes from hearing and hearing the WORD of God"
It is only through the hearing of scriptures, through hearing the word of God that one can even receive faith! It is so very important to share God's word with others when sharing the gospel. His word is alive and active, and is powerful! (Hebrews 4 explains)

I can say that I do know I have seen through e mail a person come to know Christ, but I did not know them personally so I hope and pray they truly did come to know the Lord through hearing His word on Yahoo. But as far as people in my everday life I am sorry to say I have not yet seen a 360 turn in someones heart. I know my dad did have this experience before I was born and to HEAR about his life before Christ and know Him now, I would be able to stand up and say PRAISE GOD! Because he definately changed everywhere in his life and gave his life to the Lord-- stopped his old ways and continues after so many years to live for God. And that I find truly amazing- to see God's work in someones heart is so amazing (OH and I have seen this happen on tv when watching way of the master, when they would go out witnessing to others- seeing the Holy Spirit move in their hearts just brought tears of joy to my eyes!)

Yes I have watched a few come to the Lord. it is just a wonderful feeling to be present to it.

But, I think that if I had read scripture for 2 hours it would force anyone to say anything just to end it. No disrespect to you Primo. Just I don't believe pushing/forcing someone is quite the answer.

I believe that planting the seed and watering and then allowing it to grow. Allowing God to touch the person. Setting the example of true Christianity and having others want what we have is more how I see bringing someone to the Lord. The person needs to be willing to receive the Lord.

I haven't watched but have been part of a transformation of a life. I was with a Christian Drama Company. We walked into a church and noticed immediately that the play we planned on doing wouldn't work around the stone altar. So we did a play where one person was the DJ of a radio station and I played a character that was ready to commit suicide and my last hope was calling the radio station where this DJ worked. The DJ in the course of conversation realized his relationship with the Lord...in turn helping my character see there was hope....After the play we went to the narthex to wait out the end of the service.....there was a man there that night who came to that church as his last hope and came to the Lord that night because of a play we hadn't even planned on doing.

There was another time when we had planned to do that play and in a radio interview we were telling the DJ about the play....we only had time to do half the play and the DJ told people if they wanted to know what happened next they would have to go to the performance that evening....after we were off the air he told us he had another commitment that evening and so we finished the play for him....in the end, he was in tears as he said, "I never realized the responsibility I have sitting behind that microphone."

Lives changed but NOT BY ME. By the hand of the Master, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

My brother-in-law, who was not a believer at the time, had an accident where he had fallen asleep while driving and hit the post of an overpass straight on. Instead of flying through the windshield, as one would expect, the rescue workers found him by the SIDE of the car, as if an angel had pulled him out the driver's door. So, God, in His incredible mercy, not only looks out for believers. Here are some more good verses on angels: Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; Psalm 103:20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. (this is one of my favorite ones) Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. Mark 1:13 and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. And then a warning not to worship angels or brag about seeing angels: Col 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. And to be discerning, not everything supernatural is from God: 2. Cor. 11:14....Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Yes, Primo, I did witness a younger fellow camper profess her love for the Lord after many long serious talks with her. It was the one of the most thrilling moments of my life. It's kindo' like watching a birth (but without the mother's labor pains), huh?

I like to think that some of my students (in a Christian school) now live for Christ because of our wonderful discussions, but I did not actually witness their conversions.

What I love most about what you wrote in this question is how you truly give God the glory in the way you worded it. Yes, indeed -- the Lord compelled her, for we love Him because He first loved us.

It's a miracle every time I see it. The change is mind blowing. Read the book "Harvest" regarding the beginnings of Calvary Chapel during the Jesus People movement. Or the books "For the Love of Mike" and "Fury to Freedom".

My wife was one of these miracles, as well as her x-husband who is Jewish. Her niece was another, who suffered under horrible family tragedies and molestations, only to find a Lord who loved her. Now she is married with two wonderful children.

I have seen my brother come to Christ about a year after I did. We both witnessed our growth together. My sister was an original hippie of the 60s who got deep in to Eastern Mysticism, only to find it was full of futility. She came to know Christ and (so much like her) she dived in 100%.

I have witnessed life healings, physical healings, complete turn arounds, and have attended funerals of those I have brought to Christ. Each had the hope and joy that I would see and rejoice with them again. There is no greater joy than to be part of a spiritual rebirth.

Hi Primo,

For 6 yrs I was in yahoo chat as the very much hated 'mule'. I would bash the Christians, throw out questions that just silenced them and basically would ruin any fellowshipping they had going on.

Even tho I was hated, I was still very much prayed for by the ones in the chat room, I never knew. They prayed for me constantly and said things at times that just stung but were true.

Almost a year ago, one of the regulars IM'd me to counteract one of my questions that I had thrown out. I was going to whomp her, but it went totally different. I can't tell you what happened, or how it did, but huge walls came down and about a month later I came back to the Lord 1/4/07.

I publicly apologized to the ones in the room I attacked, and also in private, have never recieved such forgiveness as they gave. 3 others in the chat room that fought right along side of me, also came back to the Lord, they saw the difference and it was a witness to them.

I have seen it not only within me, but within those that God ended up using me for.

It witnesses to you when you see others come to Christ, its amazing.

I've never actually witnessed someone come to Christ, but I'll bet it's a wonderful thing to see! I have witnessed Him change MY heart, however.

I hope you're ignoring all the clueless people on here who think you tied her to a chair and force-fed her scripture for two hours. We're all glad to have another soldier to serving alongside us in the Lord's army.

I was privileged to lead my 6-year-old nephew to the Lord on Easter Sunday of 2007. I read the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus to him. I told him Jesus did this for sinners and explained what sin was. HE asked ME if Jesus would do that for him.
I asked him to explain what he thought sin was and what Jesus was going to do about it and he was accurate in his answer, so I led him through the sinner's prayer.
Even though he is young, I see Jesus in him and differences in his behavior because of Jesus in his life.

Contrary to the atheistic byline Christians don't 'indoctrinate' children. Like everyone else they make their OWN decisions because ultimately each person deals with Christ individually.
