I think it really is for most pople. They want to believe, they say they believe but they don't really don't. I say this because I would think that if they really believed, that nothing else in life would matter at all. How could they care who won a football game for example? Or what was the latest television show or event in pop culture? How could they even work at much else than saving souls? At least every spare minute would be used to try and do this. I don't think they are true believers by their actions. Why aren't they happy when a loved one dies? After all, they get to go to heaven. Does this make sense?

Yes. They haven't studied it out, and just taken someones word for it. And as you say, their lives prove they don't really believe anyway.

Some people do spend a great deal of their time just "saving souls", but others have different lives. Our lives as Christians were meant to be lived, not everyone is on the same level, therefore you can see differences in what we do. God has different paths for different people. We are not cut out like cookies to do the same things. That would be pretty boring.

No one ever claimed to be perfect. We follow what God's leading us to do as best we can.

When a loved one dies, we are sad not because we don't think they aren't going to heaven but because it will be a while before we see them. Why isn't that obvious to you?

When someone dies were not happy for our lose but if they were a believer in Jesus were happy for their gain.

I think as pell m has said there is wishfull thinking that there isn't a God because than you can't do all the things your not suppose to do.
