Now will people realize that it's not the fault of Islam but the fault of culture run fundamentalists? Benazir Bhutto did nothing against Islam that I am aware of. She had the support of much of the Pakistani people. Even in Quetta, an area that is a hiding place to many extremists, the actual people support her. Islam also does not forbid women from having leadership roles in politics. She was on a jihad fighting terrorism. She was a hero to me. She spoke her mind, she condemned the terrorists, and she also told them she wouldn't give in to their unislamic ways.

Now the people are rioting over her death. They are showing it all over the news. These people are rioting against the extremists. They have had enough of the terror and the anger is coming out in the form of riots.

Will you soften your heart long enough to think that maybe, just maybe, it's the fault of psychotic extremists and not Islam?

Is anyone else tired of these "inspirational" messages being tritely used?

Because if someone sent me one telling me that "God has a plan" after my child were killed or I got hit by a car, I'd be pissed, not philosophical.

And do the people who send them buy Thomas Kinkade paintings and knit TV cozies?

what does that imply to you? knowing that sin is vry deceitful, shouldn't we christians be even more gaurded as to what we say, do, and watch? instead of using excuses that we can't help but do these things?

There is a verse in the bible that says something to the effect of... if you have Jesus but turn from him you can never go back? Does this mean that if I have Jesus but still have doubts or research other religions I cant "remain christian" I research other religions because I like to know what they believe so I can understand them if I get into a conversation with a person of another religion. I also started off researching to find the way to God as unbiased as I could, I didnt want to blindly believe what I grew up with. That said I have become a christian... but am I really accepted by Christ even though I still hav e doubts??

Now I was on a forum and a guy stated that the Bible states the men can have more than one wife. This is exactly what he stated: "The bible also says a man can take many women but a women may only have one man". When prompted for a verse where it states that in the Bible he provided Deuteronomy 21:15. I read that verse and from what I understood from it, it doesn't state that men can have more than one wife. So is this guy just full of it, or what?

Thx for your mature answers in advance, because I know that there is an immature person that lurks around in here.

I have heard a lot of people use this term. I was wondering what the actual name is. Not the titles that are used. I have been told you have to be baptized in the name of the trinity. So, what is the NAME?

I am getting SO sick of you whining about how everyone is " hating on you " Have you not seen all the posts about how us atheists are so arrogant and ignorrant and what not? In the end NO ONE should be fighting over religion but this is one battle that will never be won.

Did you hear about the fellow that was talking to his buddy, and he said, "I don't know what to get my wife for her birthday. She has everything, and besides, she can afford to buy anything she wants, so I'm stumped." His buddy said, "I have an idea. Why don't you make up a certificate that says she can have two hours of great sex, any way she wants it. She'll probably be thrilled!" So the first fella did just that. The next day his buddy asked, "Well, did you take my suggestion? How'd it turn out?" "She loved it. She jumped up, thanked me, kissed me on the mouth, and ran out the door yelling -- I'll see you in two hours!"

So my company provides cell phones right? Today I got mine. While I was picking mine up, the lady hands me the phone, the box with all the fixins and a car charger. She then proceeds to tell the guy next to me that car chargers are an extra $20 bucks. Should I keep the car charger they gave me, that I didn't ask for, nor am willing to pay for?

The definition of apostasy is:

"APOSTASY
a·pos·ta·sy (-pst-s) KEY

NOUN:
pl. a·pos·ta·sies
Abandonment of one's religious faith, a political party, one's principles, or a cause."

Since Manasseh in the bible obviously did this and was later forgiven by Jehovah after finally humbling himself... shows that even apostates, such as many on here, can come to their senses and return to Jehovah... correct?
