Shock and a sense of vulnerability. Having the ugly half of the face of humanity stairing at you. Knowing that all that world super power talk is just talk. And that a group of individuals who are content can pull of a terrible act no matter what precautions are taken. And, a sense of pride and love, seeing people line up to help absolute strangers.

I watched the whole thing on TV. I saw the second plane hit live. I watched the towers fall and I knew that thousands of people were dying right in front of my eyes. It was just really awful. I remember walking down the hall in my dorm and everyone had their doors open and TVs blaring and I could hear sobs coming from a lot of rooms. Plus, at the time I was worried that my dad was dead. Some of the news stations were originally reporting that there was another plane that crashed into Washington DC (not the Pentagon) and my dad works near the White House. And even after we learned that didn't actually happen, I was worried that there would be another attack on DC that would hurt my family. And of course I couldn't get through on the phone to them for several hours. That's plenty of reason to cry, if you ask me.

People cry over 9/11 because some of their relatives died. Terrioriest did it for some "religion" they call it. It killed a whole bunch of innocent people who probably never killed a person in their life. It's really sad, really.
Mass Murder, it wasn't fair. And people in buildings were killed, too. They were all innocents. Plus, children were killed. All innocent. That's why people cry about 9/11.

I personally didnt.. Its not to say that I wasnt moved by the situation, I just found it hard to put myself in that situation..i guess I just couldnt relate. I was more scared then anything else..and in all fairness I was 14 when it happened...but when Katrina hit, i did cry..I saw a town not even an hour away from my home, totally distroyed. I guess I was more able to feel the impact to the situation that I could relate to the most.

I cried because I had family that worked in the Towers (luckily no one made it to work that day) and because never in my lifetime or the lifetime of my mother has there been such an attack on American soil. It broke my sense of security. I see these types of attacks on the news all the time in other countries, but never here in America.

The loss of life of thousands of innocent civilians.
The loss of lives of so many who dedicated their lives to saving and serving others (the rescuers).
The loss of trust in other cultures.
The loss of security within our own borders in the USA.
It's also noted that there was a loss of innocence here in the USA. To know that our country and its citizens are so vehemently hated is a tearful tragedy indeed.
