Is anyone else tired of these "inspirational" messages being tritely used?

Because if someone sent me one telling me that "God has a plan" after my child were killed or I got hit by a car, I'd be pissed, not philosophical.

And do the people who send them buy Thomas Kinkade paintings and knit TV cozies?

You're not far off actually. My mom sends those emails in excess and last time she was out to visit she bought a Thomas Kincaid puzzle painting and worked on it everyday she was here.... she' not quite to the point of knitting yet though. But It's only a matter of time.
