So my company provides cell phones right? Today I got mine. While I was picking mine up, the lady hands me the phone, the box with all the fixins and a car charger. She then proceeds to tell the guy next to me that car chargers are an extra $20 bucks. Should I keep the car charger they gave me, that I didn't ask for, nor am willing to pay for?

The lady that handed it to me didn't work for my company, it was a representative from Verizon, who we have our plan through.

Well, it depends really. I would say to just keep the charger for free. It's the lady's fault that she didn't tell you. You could've even walked away without hearing her say that. If the company provides free cell phones, you just might as well keep a free charger! That's your decision though, it's not like she will track you down or anything.

Since you are now aware of the fee attached to the charger it would be dishonest; definitively; stealing, not really since you did not take it with the intend to defraud the store, or your company.
However, you should not keep it; everyone can make a mistake, and yes, you have to return it, or pay the fee.
If you are not willing to pay for it, you should return it asap.

I guess it is stealing, but I would just look at it like a gift. In some situations I would return it, but for some reason I after reading your question, I'm thinking naw just keep it.

If there are any doubts ask your boss or go back wherever you picked it up and asked. My policy is: I don't want anything I don't pay for. Then if I'm ever TEMPTED I don't.

No, not stealing, just taking advantage of good fortune, it's not like you swiped it while she wasn't looking.

You didn't ask for it, so keep it.
