what does that imply to you? knowing that sin is vry deceitful, shouldn't we christians be even more gaurded as to what we say, do, and watch? instead of using excuses that we can't help but do these things?

To me it suggests that something can look and feel good when it isn't. Heck yes it means that we should be more guarded...sin is all around us and it can disguise itself as good. It is a common human failing to judge good or bad by looking at the outcomes. The problem is, that sin can have what appears to be positive outcomes...my son can steal a cookie and if he doesn't get caught the outcomes look positive to him...he got the cookie he wanted! As a parent, I have to be constantly on guard to make sure that my son experiences the true consequences of his good and his bad decisions. I need to catch him stealing so he doesn't learn that it is OK as long as he's sneaky enough. By the same token, I need to reward him for doing the right thing especially when it has a negative consequence (for example, I rewarded him for returning some money he found after the person he returned it to failed to even thank him).

That is true, as it says in the Bible strive to live more Christlike.

"Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predesignated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,... 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predesignated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:"

That does in no way say we will not sin.

Romans 3:23-28 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

I am so glad my God is such a loving and forgiving God!!!!

We should be on 'guard' more. After all, we are supposed to 'put on' the armor of God daily. I wouldn't say sin is deceitful. Sin is just sin. However, the devil is deceitful, the father of lies. Remember what Jesus said? He goes to and fro, looking to kill and steal, seeking whom he may devour??
It is sad to say that some Christians seem to think that just because we live under grace and get forgiveness, that they can do whatever they want and it's o.k.
Just because we can get forgiveness does not give us a license to sin.

You mean Christians should stop being so hypocritical?

Keep dreaming. They'll never change.
