No matter how many sins a person has committed? After they accept Jesus, can they still sin... No punishment...because They accepted Jesus?

What does the bible actually say about this topic?
How did marriage go about in those ages?

Is the bible just talking about promiscuous sex?

Or that people should wait until they are in a commited relationship and they know if things are right?

Or is it strictly legal marriage only?

What is the Catholic view on this?
And what do other beliefs say on the topic?

Just wondering, thanks.

:-)

part of the bible is OT, and the the 1st five book is Torah. Jew own the Torah not Xian

Since Jew does not accept bible 1st five book (Torah) then Bible is wrong or bible must detach the 1st five book from its bubdle to ensure the book is genuine one

do you agree to remove it from bible or Jewish people can start ask you to pay copyright!

ok this may sound like a weird question, but you know when you get money from the bank and it's all smooth and not wrinkly? well how do they do that? do they iron it? because even bills from a couple years ago that aren't brand new aren't wrinkly. you can see where they have been folded and theres like a permanent crease but they almost feel like a new bill.

does anyone know what I'm talking about and do you know how they do it (ironing maybe??). my mom and I were having an argument about it and I'm curious to see if anyone else knows what I'm talking about...

He invents a bunch of problems for you that don't even exist, wants you to pay him a bunch of money, and not ONLY does he not fix the problems that are REALLY there, he just makes them worse.

Curious isn’t that nobody who was actually writing anything down at the time appears to have known anything at all about Jesus, despite the fantastic miracles he was performing, the multitudes he was preaching to, and of course his momentous and spectacular public demise. And don’t forget this is a guy whose birth was marked by a celestial event, who was born by a miracle, to a virgin, in the year 6 BC. Two miracles for the price of one, talk about hit the ground running and then it was one miracle after another, fed the multitudes, healed the sick, walked on water, raised the dead, He was nailed to a plank and He came back to life again. How can nobody have heard of him? He should have been the talk of the desert. He should have been as famous as Elvis.

Most whites that "claim" to be proud are just really racist.

They can't just be proud of who they are, because they dislike themselves, so it makes them feel better to talk about other races.
I know this will be deleted cause I'm speaking the truth..I don't really care
THANK YOU :)

And this is with anything, not just religion. Have you ever opened your mind to the different possibilities, about how something could be true, even though you do not believe it?

If no, then why are you being so closed minded?

If yes, what was the result to opening your mind?

...put them on a greyhound bus, drive it off a bridge and let it sink into a very deep river, what do you think the reaction of all the people on the bus would be?

(You'd rescue them at the last minute of course...)

Hey, the computer software company says, we are going to change the operating system for computers, you have to upgrade. You say no. Finally the upgrade comes, the entire software world is changed to fit the new system and now you are going through computer hell. Whose fault is it?

Hey, the television companys say, we will be switching to HD format in the year 2---, you have to get an adapter or a new television. You say no. Finally the signals are switched to HD format, and you find yourself outside of the television heaven. Whose fault is that?

Hey, God tells the people, we are going to start a new world, you have to build an ark, you say no. Finally it starts to rain to eliminate the old world, and you get caught without a paddle. Whose fault is it?

Hey, God says again, I'm going to start a new world, you have to see JC in order to get a ticket. You say no. Finally the new heavens and the new earth arrive, and you find only a very hot place for yourself. Whose fault is it?

i would like some advice from other Christians.
I am 23 years old. I have been "fostered" most of my life and I have not had a solid Christian background. I went to church off and on when I was little and then again when I was a teenager, but only because my friends were going. I was babtised when I was a teenager, but I did not know why I was being babtised (again, because everyone else was.)
Now that I am an adult I have been going to church and I am trying to walk the path of a Christian. I found a wonderful church before I moved two years ago and I have not been going since then because I simply cannot find a church I like, and I am not really looking that hard and I know I should be, and I am going to starting this Sunday.
I am getting off my point, I have started reading the Bible, but I do not know any of the stories or anything like that. You have to start somewhere, right?
About the babtism, is it ok to get babtised again, now that I know what it means?

I really think that she would love the LOLCats, cause, well you know.... Would that cheer her up, to share with her, or make her sadder?

hi there, anonymous female in her twenties here. I have a friend who is staying with my husband and I in our two bedroom home. Having no children and a spare room, we run into quite a few visitors who end up asking if they can "stay" with us from time to time.

Under the circumstances that my good friend had been going through (with her "fiance") I agreed to let her stay for 3 months. all of OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, & DECEMBER. I even wrote a friendly short one page lease of expectations etc

Halfway through the lease I found out she had been PREGNANT even before she moved in. Well as soon as I confronted her she was a little embarassed, and since mid Nov, Ive only seen her for a total of 4 days.

Well the time has come for her to get her stuff out of the room, she has only dropped by, and I want to respectfully have her get her items out ASAP so we can turn it back into an office, we REALLY need the space, and I am SOOO not good at these things!! Please help.

My husband believes men are to be in charge and they have the right to spank their wives if they are bad. I was raised this way too and my mom got spanked by my dad but not much (I don't think). I only remember maybe 5 times but maybe there was more I don't know. Anyways, I want to know what other people's viewpoint is on this. If you aren't a bible believer please tell me your religion, thanks!

This is a valid question since Gods existence is anything but obvious. After all his invisible and if you really knew he existed what would be the need for faith.

So why do you believe in God.

I read in this website http://www.biblelife.org/attributes.htm that God does not want us to love evil people (sinners). He does not want us to befreind them either or its a direct violation of his will. It also says that Jesus did not love all people, for example the pharasees or the gentiles. Im confused as to what to believe. Is it wrong for me to love people who are not christians??
Please be respectful

Not all, but some. I noted that some Christians tend to call atheists arrogant for various reasons, but for anyone to claim that they have the right answer and that anyone else who doesn't believe in their answer is wrong, is, in itself, arrogance, and pride. I was under the assumption that pride was a bad thing in that particular religion. Isn't this extremely hypocritical? Won't that count against you in the after-life? Humility works for both sides. Either side can be wrong here.

I'm a Christian and my husband is Muslim. I've been told that the proof that Muhammad is the last prophet is in several scriptures in the bible. It is supossed to be said that Jesus told his desciples that after Him would come another from the line of Kedar and will bring with him a new law. Kedar was a son of Ismael and I know Muslims believe Muhammad is from that line. Ismael is also supossed to be from the land of Arabia. Can someone please enlighten me?
