I believe in God. because in 1980 I was having my first child. There were complications and I died in the labor room. I could look down upon myself and wondered how I was able to see me... Then I was moving forward. Through darkness. It seemed like I had moving through that for a million years. With no destination. No past. No present. Just drifting. I did at moments think of my son. Which had not been born yet. It seemed so long ago that it did not matter. I was filled with every answer to every question I ever wanted to know. And it did not matter either. Because what was important here was just a small dot in a big picture. I continued forward. drifting ... Until a voice. Not physical. But something that came from everywhere. Gentle, loving and kind. A pin point of brilliant light came to me. Warm, strong and it was growing. The voice said I had to return back. I could not go any further. It was a voice of love and pain. Sorrow and joy. That sent me back to my body. I was being worked on when I returned. I remember the pain. the jolt back in my body. The rush to get me into emergency surgery.. Then the birth of my son. I spent over a week and a half in the hospital in intensive care. So, yes I believe in God. I have heard his voice. It has never left me.

God isn't invisible. You can clearly see him in the world around you. He created man in his likeness, so he is in each person you see. People choose to believe in God because they have Faith and knowledge. Knowledge that God gave his only son to die for us on the cross. Jesus took the punishment for all our sins. That was God's gift to us. Those who believe are thanking him for that. I know I believe and I thank the Lord Jesus everyday for taking my punishment.
I believe because I have Faith and Love.

Perhaps because He actually exists ?
I don't know how much simpler of an answer I can give...are you trying to convince me otherwise or are you asking me to convince you ? Because if it's the latter, I'll never be able to convince you or change your mind- that's something you'll have to do (with God's help if you ask Him- but don't expect a thunderous voice from Heaven )
Have a blessed evening :-)

I believe in God because He made me and everything in this universe. I believe in Him because He sent His only begotten Son to the world to take all my sin away through His baptism and blood on the Cross. I believe in Him because He is alive!! He indeed rose up from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. I believe in God because my name is written down in the book of life. I believe in God because He said He would soon come and fetch His holy saints from this earth to live with Him in Heaven before He destroys this world that has rejected Him.

i don't
but i do believe that others should be able to believe in what they want
it gives them hope and faith
god is always there to guide
he is a listener
i don't think the evidence of god's existence really matters
it's the faith that people want
to get through life

And I have an invisible pink elephant living in my garage. You can't see, hear, feel, or smell him but I have faith and I say that he's there. And you cannot disprove his existence, so therefore he must be real.

I have felt his presence. Also, when anyone is backed in a corner in a life or death situation or their friend/family is, who do people turn to? God.
I have prayed to him in faith and I have felt his love. Also, by following his commandments, I have seen the many blessings he has given me and many others.
If you saw God you would not need faith, because you would know; so you do need faith to know God exists.
Fact: God lives and He loves us!
