i wish i knew how to word this w/o offending anyone,i don't fear death, i think when i die i die.that's it. i don't believe in any kind of religion whatsoever. please don't be upset with me, but i have tried and tried to understand it, like why isn't there 1 god for the whole world??? i hate bringing this up, i saw a movie several times about 9/11/01 it was called "UNITED 93" the terrorist that was flying the jet, right before he brought the jet down he was praying to his god Allah, name of god almighty he was begging Allah for help and strength etc. I just don't get why do they have a, i don't know, such a mean god?? with all of the different cultures in the world, does every culture have a different god?? does every culture have their own bible??? I just don't get it!!! that's why i say when i die i die, i find it hard to believe there is a heaven and a hell. I am so very serious about this, I've been wondering for quite some time and i hope i will be glad that i wrote in to "ANSWERS" I really had no intention to hurt any ones feelings its just i finally got brave enough to ask. thanks...

I do fear death. Though I don't think life is the easiest, I fear the end of it, or death. I am skeptical of God, Heaven and the whole bit, so for right now, I am left with a big "?" with no evidence to point me to a sound, prove-able answer.
I also fear *dieing.* I imagine heart attacks hurt, being murdered is no fun, and a car accident would be quite scary. I shudder at all the treatment and pain I'd undergo if I get cancer, and I don't like thinking about the several ways I could die of asphyxiation (drowning, smoke inhalation, strangulation, etc).
Perhaps it's also because there are several other things I want to do with my life, but haven't enabled myself to do them yet. Not that I'm "putting them off." I believe before enjoying F, I should handle A, B, C, D, and E, which are more important.

Even though I am a Christian and have been a Christian for most of my life, I still had an over whelming fear of death. I carried this fear well into my adult hood. And then one day I was thinking about how terrrified I was of death and I thought about how the fear contridicted my religious beliefs. I prayed and told God that I recognized that this fear was unnatural and had to come from satan and I asked God to take the fear away. From that day on, I haven't been afraid of death and that was probably 15 years ago.

I don't fear it but i don't want it coming too soon either. Death is a natural part of life. God created to human race and told them to go forth and reproduce but early in the creation of man, death and pain was introduced via Cain killing his brother, Abel. God did not create death, man bought that into the world very early on. if God however, has a purpose for you still to fulfill on this earth, your number would not turn up then. You have to have faith and believe that death is not the end...its the beginning of a whole new world/adventure. but when u leave, u should want to leave at peace with yourself and all around u.

Well, God WILL protect you in many ways, but being a Chirsitian doesn't mean you're set. God has a plan for you, and that plan may include a young life. I'm a Chrisitan and I don't know what God has in store for me, but I've been praying for years for protection in my line of work. When I think really hard about it, death IS scary, but we all have to die eventually. I just hope I get to save a ton of lives before it's my time to go.

I think people need to create a deity that is going to offer them salvation after death, because they fear nothingness.
Why fear death? You're not going to know any different when you're six feet under, hey?
All you can do is live your life to the fullest. I fear dying...those brief moments when you can feel your life slipping away.
If you dwell too much on it though, you won't enjoy your life as you should.

It's inevitable, we all die. No point in fearing it. We're born, consume resources then die and return to the earth as fertiliser. But remember god won't protect you 'cause there's no god, it's a big lie.

Yes, if I was all tied up with moments to live, I'd be terrified and angry. I'd have to be pretty depressed not to care about my life because I want to live so bad. Everytime my heart skips a beat, I worry about it. God is a protector but that doesn't mean he saves everyone who deserves it if you look at the statistics. I hate to scare you but there was a young girl that had just left church but she was kidnapped from her bedroom and buried less than a block from her home. We all need to pray that we'll be ready to die when the time comes and the angels will guide us on that golden path.

Death is but a passageway into eternity. The spirit never dies.
No, I do not fear death, neither do I desire it. There is much that I want to achieve in this life... and my children need me to live. I have faith that, provided I do not do something stupid, and I continue to listen to the guidance and warnings from his Holy Spirit, God will keep me upon this earth for the exact amount of time I need to fulfill the mission that he wants me to fulfill.

Not at all...death is natural. Nature show us this...all is recycled. Like an animal dies and decomposes thru micro-life and turns to dirt. Then grows into a pretty flower which is food for another animal..who then is food for another animal. In the end all life is one, the 'self' is only illusion
