I have a t-shirt that says I "heart" Black People, I always get weird looks from black people when I wear it.

i wouldnt care;
besides the fact that that would be tacky & completely re-claiming an original black saying. i wouldnt mind.
it's never racist to have pride in ones race
it's only racist to be puffed up with pride in your own race
&& look down upon other ethnic groups
the phrase "black is beautiful" doesnt downgrade any race - so it isn't racist you jock strap. its just having a little pride in one's culture in a world where being black is always perceived as a negative.
it's not like it says "black is beautiful and 'whateverotherrace' is not"
nothings wrong with those "everyone loves an italian/irish girl" shirts is there ?

Well I wouldn't care. I've seen shirts that say "Black is Beautiful" "Brown Girl's Rule the World" . So why shouldn't there be a shirt saying "White is Beautiful".

1-For whatever reason, white people don't have the guts to walk around with such a t-shirt on. Your own people would sanction you before you ever made it to the street in a T like that.
2-There are lots of things that are white so if I saw a person wearing a "white is beautiful" tshirt- I'd think it was the latest GAP or Old Navy promo and wouldn't think anything of it. White people don't own the color.

I'D say to them "You'ld look better with a pillow case on your head, Nazi."
If it weren't for a history of segregation then maybe everyone would have accepted it, but because there is a history of oppression based on whites putting down other races and a lack of acceptance from the whites, there would be a lot of resistance.

I truly wouldn't care. I hate how so many(not all of course!) white ppl on here complain that if they did this or that that blacks do that it would be racist. Whites can be proud of their race too, I really dont care.

being proud of your race or religion etc... is not racist.
i say that due to your comment i guess only white people
can be racist.
a t shirt saying white is beautiful would not bother
me or probably anybody else.

VICTORIA: YOU FULL OF SH**T! Yes I have seen the quote often and I don't care. There is nothing wrong with Black people (or other races) being proud of their own culture.
