I have heard and read that during various wars, men fighting men, on Christmas eve the men laid down their arms, and stopped shooting at each other for that 'sacred time'. And after Christmas was over, they started fighting again. Have you known about this??

Here in a cyber café, home away from home in the lowlands of my childhood, remembering our precious "Brothers & Sisters in Arms" who made the ultimate sacrifices. … The politicians who sent you to your deathtraps and baptisms of fire might have LONG deserted you; your own country might have given you the warmongers’ welcome at times; even a few of your coward comrades who killed, raped, abused, tortured, and maimed the innocent, while hiding behind your courageous image, betrayed your trust; BUT SOME OF US WILL “N E V E R” FORGET YOU AND YOUR LOVING & HONORABLE SOULS.

Did you honestly help any poor on Chritmas day.

I don't want collection of money, but personally you should do something atleast for one.

I have a friend and my dad said that instead of christmas presents, her parents are donating money to a charity and i thought that her family had decided this together or my dad made it up which is something he would do to try and get me and my brother to do the same. asked her about it and she had no idea what i was talking about and my dad told me after i got off the phone that that was her christmas present. I can't believe i told her, please tell me what to do!

I've read and heard countless of preachings on how if you're of the Christian religion and believe in Jesus Christ, that accomplishing worldly success/money/business connections, leading a lavish/hedonistic lifestyle, and developing vast knowledge/intellect is a bad thing. (Not sure about the intellect thing).

It's said in the Bible, "keep your hearts simple, for your rewards will come in Heaven, etc" Yet it's impossible to adopt this, and other Bible sayings, without LITERALLY going BROKE and not succeeding in life, which will make you feel like a failure, a loser, is horrible for your self-esteem, and ultimately does NOT work.

There are people creating computers, space programs, etc, and this religion wants us to be stupid and poor!?!?!

What the F*ck?

If I'm misinterpreting it, and we're allowed to be smart and rich, and it only attacks the MORAL sense, then fine.

I'll be successful rich and moral.

Why is religion so strict and what is it REALLY saying?
