Yes, I did. And please keep in mind that, as a disabled single mom, I am one of the poor of whom you speak. I do what I can, but it's not much.
Last Monday, I was grocery shopping when I overheard a distraught mother saying to herself that she didn't have enough money to buy her infant's formula. She was crying, the baby was crying.... Without really giving it much thought, I instinctively took the last $20 I had out of my pocket and gave it to this woman, so that she might feed her child.
I then put my own groceries back. Nothing I needed was half as important as her being able to feed her baby.
Merry Christmas

Hai Gentleman.
I feel I don't want to lie to you which is why I am miserably saying that I didn't do anything as such. What more can I say? I have never thought of it! I don't know why! Is it because I am selfish? I don't know. Or is it because I am only a teenaer only thinking of my own life and not other's? That also I don't know. Still something that I do know is that from today onwards I have taken a decision. A decision that I will do something for the poor from now on during festivities to give them a joy and happiness. But I did do one thing. I prayed for all in this world to be happy and peaceful during Christmas and throughout their lives like I do every year. This is all I did for them till now. I feel that is the most important thing but if you mean financial or meterialistic help then I never did it and never thought of it. Still, is that what is important? Financial and materialistic support? No! I feel that mental suppport is what they need and I feel that prayer for them is the most helpful as on the special and joyous day of Christmas God wants everyone to be happy. If we pray for the same, God will make everyone double happy!
Thanks

de@r gEntLe m@n,
I always help poor people on every festival and occasion. Even if there is no occasion, I still do charity.
Its not only Christmas. Charity should be done every time. I mean not only on Christmas but also on eid, eid-ul-fitr, holi, diwali, dusshera and many more.
I am being honest here. I always give charity to poor people specially on festivals. We should give charity so that the poor people also have the right to celebrate the occasion and festival as rich people do.
So lets all of us make a new year resolution to give and to do charity as much a possible... :) ...tc...sweet dreamz...bye....

I agree with you but would like to modify that the charity should be on regular basis festivals should not be the reason
If u say charity on festivities it is on such days people do it trying to show off in front of others.
Real charity doers do it on regular basis and anonymously ,therefore, they would have automatically donated on festivals too

I donated four toys to Toys For Tots, and dropped off some canned food at one of the food banks. I also give a dollar to Salvation Army every when I exit a store.

No and yes I will; I'm going to donate some of my winter jackets and a good portion of my personal belongings and feed the poor and donate a flock of geese to a needy family in a faraway land either via Heifer International or World Vision.

I helped a poor man who works so hard for us, including our neighbours, he cleans around our block of flats. But we don't help him on Christmas day only. We give him food and money during other days of the year as well.

It's heartening that there are people who are genuinely concerned about the welfare of the less fortunate. I have a habit of giving to charity, and it's not only at christmas.
