hanks crazy pirate:
according to the dictionary an "avatar" is:

the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god.

thus jesus is an avatar, according to the beliefs of christians... god incarnate.

aren't we all god incarnate?

Isiah 53.

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground:
he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?
for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death;
because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed,
he shall prolong his days,
and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:
by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;
for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;
because he hath poured out his soul unto death:
and he was numbered with the transgressors;
and he bare the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Just to make it clear I am not a christian several non-christians have been hating on Sherri Shepherd for her ignorant, to say the least, comments on The View such as "not know whether the earth round or flat due to not having enough time to think about that what with the children" What surprised me however, is when I went on youtube and visited Sherri Shepherd's website, there were all these Christians hating on Shepherd. There were all these comments such as "Although I love you in Christ and all that stuff, what the he ll are u on?" and "Sherri Shepherd, your comment that 'nothing predates Christians' was terribly misinformed and I hate to think that you are speaking for christians on that show. You are not providing a step forward for christians but a step backwards.' Anyway, I am just wondering what the Christians of yahoo answers think of Sherri Shepherd's comments because none of self-confessed all for love christians on youtube have expressed much sympathy with her. lol

( this is just curiosity, personal bias aside) What is significant about human life? what is significant about your life specificaly?.... and what makes your opinion matter more than mine?
This is a serious question.... I'm wondering why anyone listens to anyone over someone else... and how what anyone thinks really matters to anyone else... and beyond the boundries of our atmosphere, what does a human life mean.... how does human emotion have anything to do with anything?

feel free to get preachy everyone.

Last Christmas I cut a fart
But the very next day the smell went away
This year
To save me from jeers
I'll fart on someone special

Wouldn't he be disgusted by the commercial feeding-frenzy perpetrated in his name.
My perception of him is as an anti-materialist (rich men and eyes of needles etc.)
As an atheist I do admire him and am sure he'd puke if he ever would come back. (There's as much chance of that as the US taking the lead in Green Economics, Mr. Bush)

Do you believe that satanism is seen as a belief just as those who believe in god. Is it possible that people who follow Lord Lucifer can have true connection with Him, without being stereotyped as animal/baby/children killers as the media and other sources would have society believe?

Every year on Christmas Day i am always the first to wake up, i wake everybody else up afterwards. My mom and dad have to go downstairs and "get ready" and my mom has to have her cup of coffee b4 we can come down stairs to open presents. I hate it all the anxiety and everything. And it is kinda boring sitting at the top of the stiars for 30-45minutes doing nothing. What is something i can do? I have a 16 yr old bro, mayb i can do something w/ him, depending on if he is in a good mood or not, he he isnt, he will just yell at me. WAT IS SOMETHING I CAN DO???

Krishna is God and Jesus is Son of God
If one loves Krishna, he must love Lord Jesus also. And if one perfectly loves Jesus he must love Krishna too. If he says, "Why shall I love Krishna? I shall love Jesus," then he has no knowledge. And if one says, "Why shall I love Jesus? I shall love Krishna", then he has no knowledge either. If one understands Krishna, then he will understand Jesus. If one understands Jesus, you'll understand Krishna too"

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the men's restrooms at a rest stop but, I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin Just Fine!"

And the other guy says: "So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh I'm like you, just traveling east!"

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.

"Can I come over to your place after while?"

Ok, this question is just wacky but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation.

I tell him, "Well, I have company over so today is a bad day for me!"

Then I hear the guy say nervously...

"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!"
