I was just thinking about when there was a little person in our house (we were much younger too of course).
The exciting preparations we made on Christmas Eve. Choosing which glass Santa would like best and should he have milk or something stronger, after all he shouldn't really be drink driving should he? Maybe he is fed up of mince pies and it might be best to leave cheese and crackers. Making sure the carrots were well washed for the reindeer.Teasing our little boy that if he didn't stay in his bed Santa wouldn't be able to find the right house. Us worn out and longing for him to sleep so we could play Santa. Finally get to bed at 3am only to be woken at 4am by little fingers prodding at you, to show you that Santa has been. The sparkle in the eyes of that little boy cos everything was magic to him.
Do you wish you could see that look in your childs eyes again?

I'm not, but I've heard plenty say they are this year. My area in Yorkshire got flooded so with people living in caravans etc there's every reason for them to be fed up. What about you?

i don't hate anybody for believing anything, after all the constitution says that we are aloud to believe whatever we want, so why do have to hate people for what they believe

i think that christian beliefs are stupid but i don't think christians themselves are stupid

Not just on YA, but everywhere. Several times when I ask a question about God for example, I am attacked! I never said anything bad about God, just asked some questions trying to understand a religious (I said religious because I have tried to understand many religions: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, etc) belief. I am Atheist and it seems the more I try to understand religion, the more I am attacked but then the longer I stay Atheist, the more I am attacked. Why do people freak out all the time about religious topics? Example like the teddy bear named Mohamed in Sudan. Politics is the same way. I ask a question about climate change and Al gore and I am told to go kill myself. I live in Canada and I stuck a non-Canadian flag outside my office window once. In less then 45 mins someone called the police on me. It's just a flag! 1 foot by 1 foot. If I was to advertise saying Britney Spears sucks no one would care. Say god doesn't exist, and I got myself an angry mob.

Sometimes I feel that people like to mess up ppls fun.
Now all of a sudden, the Golden Compass is against Christ and the Christian religion?? I have watched the movie twice and I have a fairly strong education and yet still I battle to see the evil connection. I highly doubt some kid or teenager is gonna see this connection.
The are plenty of movies and games that the church should be using their powers to get rid of. The golden compass however is a sad choice.
I would love to hear oppinions about the movie specifically from those who are against The Golden compass??
What is so wrong about the Golden compass?

I was just watching a show the other night that gave the amount of people of different religions in the world. One that really caught my attention was the 14 million Jews in the world. I knew the number was small, but not that small. It got me wondering, are there more or less Pagans than Jews in the world? Can you at least give a ballpark figure how many Pagans there are in the world?

The mind of God and His unconditional love He has for His creation. He sent us His only Son, Jesus, to show us that the perfect life He displayed was the exact kind of life we could be living. Jesus was perfect and in His perfection, He plainly stated that "If you truly believe in me, and the WORKS that I do, greater works than these shall you do, because I go to the Father!" Jesus also rebuked those who had little faith, like Peter, When Peter knew it was Jesus walking out to them in the storm and on the water, Peter was the only one who had the faith, to ask Jesus to bid him to come to Him. Jesus did. and Peter got out of the boat, walking on the water and then began looking around and losing faith and began to sink crying out, Lord, Save me! and Jesus got him and they got in the boat together. You see, Jesus gave us His life so that we could do as he done. He was glorified and now sits at the right hand of God and giving eternal life to all who believes but His also gives you and me His power to do as He done. He said, in Marks Gospel 16 chap. Go ye, in all the world and preach the Gospel of my Kindom, those believing shall be saved and those who don't will be judged and thiese signs shall follow them that believe..In my name, shall you cast out demons, you shall speak with new tongues, you shall have power over the eliments of this world and if you should drink anything deadly, it won't harm you, and you shall lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover!! This is Jesus giving the command of all believers in Christ. We are kings to do as Jesus has showed us. Where is your faith? Do you have the Holy Spirit of Christmas in you? Receive Him, walk in this new life and do as Jesus died for you to do. Doubt and unbelief will stop you just as it did Jesus but God will direct you to where the faithful is and signs will follow the Christ in you..This is why Jesus was born. For you. Merry Christmas.
