Not just on YA, but everywhere. Several times when I ask a question about God for example, I am attacked! I never said anything bad about God, just asked some questions trying to understand a religious (I said religious because I have tried to understand many religions: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, etc) belief. I am Atheist and it seems the more I try to understand religion, the more I am attacked but then the longer I stay Atheist, the more I am attacked. Why do people freak out all the time about religious topics? Example like the teddy bear named Mohamed in Sudan. Politics is the same way. I ask a question about climate change and Al gore and I am told to go kill myself. I live in Canada and I stuck a non-Canadian flag outside my office window once. In less then 45 mins someone called the police on me. It's just a flag! 1 foot by 1 foot. If I was to advertise saying Britney Spears sucks no one would care. Say god doesn't exist, and I got myself an angry mob.

My question is though, why do people get all freaked out about these two topics? If I say God doesn't exist or Bush is a terrible leader, it's my opinion. Your life ain't over so why fuss over it? I love rap. If someone insults it, you know what I do? Move on. I don't lash out at them. There is no point to doing that. I hate porn but if I met a porn star, I would accept their lifestyle and move on. Why is it so much harder for people to do that in Politics and Religion?

There is way too much fuss about these issues. But, there seems to be a point where people feel they are put against a wall and can't escape these issues. Politics is getting dirtier by the moment. I consider religion to be a private matter and really should not be discussed in a pubic forum.

There are forces at play that are trying to enforce their agenda in any way they can. Christianity is loosing ground and funding more and more and their pissed off about it. A lot of this has to do with religious belief and it stinks.

these two topics have a lot to do with how people live and go about their life, politics cannot go without people talking about it and if we ignored this then we would end up like mexico or worse, this is all about freedom of speech go to a communistic country if your tired of the same debates on what people think is most important to their lives, communist countries love to control these two topics because they know it can be a threat to their ideology of controlling the masses
