Methinks you have an irrational fear of atheists. What is so offensive to you about people that honestly don't believe a god exists?

Are you afraid they're right, and you've been living a lie?

(I know, I was just as scared as you were, back when I was a believer. You'll get over it one day)

I think your question is nonsense. If you protest about something you are not trying to prove something. the thing atheists protest about is religious interference in the political and legal areas of the country. They of course have nothing to prove as it is religious people who claim there is some sort of god so they should prove it and of course they can't

Huh? I'm not trying to prove anything. Oh, and you got the quote wrong, it's "Methinks the lady doth protest too much."

We don't have to prove anything. And it's your kind that doesn't WANT to prove anything.

You eventually grew up and out of believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy... all things your parents told you existed.

So why do you still believe a Jewish carpenter executed for political dissidence was some sort of savior?

If you go to hell for not accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior, what happened to all of those people who lived before Jesus? What about all those people who never were exposed to Christianity or had the opportunity to accept Him? Is it not enough that they lived good, honest, morally upstanding lives? So why is it not enough that I do the same, without believing in your fairy tales?

Far too many laws and freedom smashing rules are being applied against all other groups by western secular governments, as atheist groups are enjoying forcing countries backwards away from communities based on families to all peoples becoming citizens of the state.

I'm trying to prove that bestbuy has no system of organization for cds. But that has nothing to do with my spiritual beliefs. What are you trying to prove by putting this in the LGBT section?

I'm not trying to prove anything. I don't care whether someone wants to believe in their particular god and rules. What I do care about is not being forced to believe in their god and rules. I care when people use a set of arbitrary interpretations of a story book to tell me how *I* should live *my* life and that I am evil and immoral because the way I live my life is not how they choose to live theirs.

If people want to believe in whatever god they choose, I really don't have a problem with that, because I really don't care. I would never want to prevent someone from believing if they wish, that's the whole point of freedom and free will.

Atheists don't really have anything to prove. It is the religious zealots who are out to prove something (even though proof and faith are mutually incompatible). I have never in my life campaigned door to door asking people not to believe in god. No one has ever told me that they've experienced that either. I and plenty of others have experienced people knocking on their door trying to convert us to their way of thinking - if anyone has something to prove, it's not the Atheists.

We're trying to prove that no matter how much the freaking Christian evangelicals/fundamentalists try to convert us, or make us feel guilty, that we're not backing down from our beliefs.

I'm not trying to prove anything, just trying to counter some of the religious babble that I have to hear everyday...

That god doesn't exist?
Actually I believe it's up to you to prove he does?
Can't?
Thought not.
Oh well that's the end of the discussion then.
