Santa Clause, well known also as St. Nicholas, lived over 500 years ago. He grew up in a very poor town and he saw all the little chlidren so sad because of what their government was doing to them. So, one day he decided he needed to cheer these children up. He went around his town, tossing coins into the children's stockings while they were hanging to dry, and while the kids were asleep. He also went through the windows and put small toys near their fireplaces. The gorvenment found out about this and were not pleased. They had all the citizens lock all their windows and doors. But St. Nick did not give up. He tried the chimenys, which worked quite well. He contienued doing this for quite a while, and his whole town remembered him when he died of an old age.

You see, the character of Santa Clause isn't entirely fake. He lived many years ago and his spirit is the thing that gives you that fuzzy feeling when you wake up on Christmas Day. Although there is not a man wearing a red suit with a sleigh and a huge bag of presents, plus eight (or nine) reindeer guiding his sleigh, he lives on through your heart, and he gives your parents the privilege of putting presents under your Christmas Tree. And lets not forget the 2 true meanings of Christmas: One, Christ was born that day, and two, you get to spend more time with your family and friends. So focus on having a very Merry Christmas with everyone you love, and just know that even though Santa isn't copporeal, that doesn't mean he isn't real.

Merry Christmas!

Santa is real, whether other people think he is or not. He exists, at the very least, in our hearts and he brings families together. It isn't whether he's a physical being, or if he delivers to martians, or what his elves are about-- its about the joy Santa spreads and the love he creates. Santa is real in all Catholic/Christian families-- he is what makes Christmas Christmas for children. A bit of Santa lives in each and every one of us. And we know that somewhere, up in the North Pole, he is getting ready to make kids happy.

Best answer me if you like. I hoped it helped.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yes and I'm an old lady waiting on a grandchild. Santa Claus is the spirit of Christmas. He exists when you assist an older gentleman to reach the top shelf at a grocery store. He exists when you put your change in a donation box. And he exists when you see children's faces light up on Christmas morning.

Santa Claus is real because he was already declared a saint. Therefore, if he is a saint, he can perform miracles such as giving gifts to a mass number of good children

Santa to me, is a figure that helps bring families together. If he were real he would have to travel 3500 miles a second and his sleigh would burst into flames within 4 milliseconds. It's really your perspective though.

Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th century Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. So in this sense, yes he was real.

"santa claus" is a depiction of a Christian saint named Saint Nicholas because he was remembered as a very giving person... so I guess he's real...
