Is this weird or what?
My understanding is that a large number of adults in this country actually believe that !

It is no longer 1 day in 7 that we worship God (as it was under the law), it's every day. Every day is the day of salvation, every day we should read the Word, every day we should remember the bountiful blessings God has poured out for us in Christ and the good things we enjoy each day. God's mercies are new every morning, not just Saturday. Our entire life is to be a living sacrifice, not just on Sundays. This is the whole problem which people living under the law couldn't understand - not which day of the week you go to church.

I hope I am not being insensitive, but I simply do not understand why people of different beleifs are all of a sudden getting offended when someone tells them Merry Christmas. This is how it has been for hundreds of years.

Do you really think we are being hostile? We are simply telling you that we wish you a good Christmas. If you do not celebrate Chirstmas this can easily be transferred to your holiday. Why do we have to change to the generic impersonal Happy Holidays instead?

Would it be "Does God exist?" or do you consider that a wasted question since you know the answer already?

So how would the relationship between science and religion today be if the early church did not ostracize its members who first thought of the universe? Do you think that the current concept of God would be different? For example, not to think of God as a person, but as a state or a term to describe the collective acceptance to what the universe is and lifes roles in it. I think, there would still be religion, but I can't really say what type of religion there would be. Perhaps everyone would be Wiccan. Perhaps everyone would think of nature as being in control, and not humans being in control of nature. Perhaps if the church of the past didn't shun those early religious scientist there would be only one religion and no atheists.

Please elaborate.

Colossians 1:15-18 KJV. have a few questions for you. Who is your prophet? Did the Jehovah's Witnesses predict that the Battle of Armageddon would be fought in 1914, followed by the end of the world? Did, in 1954, J.W. president Frederick Franz become exposed as a fraud as the most learned Hebrew scholar? Under oath in a court of law, he proved incapable of handling even the most basic Hebrew. Is Jesus God? Did Jesus' death accomplish everything needed to save us? Why is the NWT not recognized by Greek and Hebrew scholars? Is salvation received by faith? (Titus 3:5), Eph. 2:8-9. ) Is Christ God? (John 5:18, and John 20:28) Is the Holy Spirit God? (Acts 5:3) Do you recognize the KJV or the 1901 American Standard Bible?

Remember when we used to watch national geographic and see those men from African tribes with long stick going through their noses, a lot of loops in their ears, painted bodies and plates to stretch their lips, and also their women with hand crafted jewerly and only wearing clothes from waist down.....we used to think that was an expression of their primitive culture. Isn't it the same concept today in our modern society with the piercing, tatoos and the women showing bare skin in public places? Is our modern society going primitive?

I was thinking about going to school to get a good career, but my boyfriend told me I could probably get a job based on the fact that I am multi-lingual. I speak English, Spanish, French, Chinese (Mandarin), and German fluently, and I speak some Italian, Japanese, and Arabic ( Probably the equivilant of 3 years in a high school class). Is this a marketable skill, if so, what can I do with it?

I'm gay and I not really out at work.I don't maintain a feminine appearance.I am the only female in my department though other ladies work for the company.I am especially close with one of my male coworkers.I would say he's like a brother to me.He dates one of the women in the office. She doesn't like me very much.I think she thinks that I want him cause him and I hang out a lot at work. We also talk on the phone some. He never flirts with me .We just joke about coworkers, gossip about coworkers, complain about crap, talk sports and family guy.
He teases me sometimes about guys at work so I do want to tell him about myself. I also want him to tell his girl so she can stop hating on me.
I hate"announcing"myself and I have been harassed badly at a previous job once people "officially" knew I was gay. It's just that he's a real good friend and I want him to know the "real me" I can't talk about my girl to him or about girls to him as it is now. He seems open minded I'm just not sure.

This could also be Christmas Eve as well. I'm thinking alot of
people would rather be somewhere else, if their wish came
true, and the cost was paid for by someone else, if they
couldn't afford it. And you might add why this choice. I'm looking for some heart felt answers, not jokes, folks!

I would never ask this to anyone to their face because it's rude, but since we're all anonymous on here, the question is....

How much money do you have in your bank account right now?

and...

How much debt do you currently have?

Aside from us all wanting peace, and our service people home, and all of the other turmoil resolved, this is the real
world. So I wanted to ask if you yourself, have a secret desire
or wish or present, you'd dearly like to have come to you? Just
this once, and it would make the happiest Christmas ever, just
for YOU!

Obviously there is no exact reason I was just looking for input from mainly 13-21 year olds but whoever else has a say just answer what they believe our era as teens will be.
