This could also be Christmas Eve as well. I'm thinking alot of
people would rather be somewhere else, if their wish came
true, and the cost was paid for by someone else, if they
couldn't afford it. And you might add why this choice. I'm looking for some heart felt answers, not jokes, folks!

I have to say, if I had all the tea in china I would still be at home with my family, I have never spent one Christmas in all my years away from Home, it just wouldn't be Christmas to me, I just love to prepare the Dinner, my grown up children suggested we book a restaurant this year as they are concerned it might be too much for me....no way....I will carry on doing this till it is totally physically impossible for me to do it, I just love providing a wonderful meal for those dear to me on that wonderful day

Shari,

I have a wonderful young friend who works and resides in Beijing China and we have been doing the IM since earlier this year and I would love to surprise him with a Christmas present in person.
I cannot afford the trip personally but we have talked of hopefully being able to meet someday.

The Chinese people do not really celebrate Christmas as we do and I understand that many will be doing their daily routine.

I'd like to be back in south africa visiting my dear friend of nearly 40 years and her family. Have been to South Africa before during the Christmas holidays and had one of the most mystical spiritual christmases I've ever had there.

It was absolutely beautiful on Kirschtenbosh Mountain, singing Christmas carols with the Cape Town Symphony orchestra and then walking down the mountain with lit candles singing silent night.

For one brief moment in time , it didn't matter about one's racial or socioeconomic status , we were all one in nature praising the prince of peace.

We celebrate on Christmas Eve.... at my parents home. I would not want to be anywhere else. My dad's days are getting worse and he is quickly loosing his ability to communicate. They live just a few miles from us, so traveling is not an issue. Just spending one last Christmas together as a family is the only place I want to be.

I would go back in time to when my kids were small and we had a family Christmas. Gran, Grandad, my Mum and Dad, me and the children, even my ex, though I wouldn't have him back for anything, but he was part of the picture.Nan getting tipsy on sherry and dancing to the latest tunes, Grandad loosing his false teeth again Mum complaining that the dinner is getting cold, and the kids high as kites about their presents. Sadly, Gran Grandad and Dad have all passed away now, and my Mum lives a long way from me You never know what you have until it's gone.

In the past, when a lot of folks I loved were still alive. Sorry. Holidays are tough for me. I used to love skiing in the Pocono mountains, but I have a bum leg now & am lucky when I walk without too much pain. It's beautiful there.

I'd want to be back in WV where my folks are if all my family & in-laws could go too. The reason is we used to all live there and be near one another and I'd like us to all be together there one more time. I miss everyone so much and we could have a happy, beautiful white Christmas again.

I would spend it in the year 1972, because most of my family was still alive and it was the best Christmas I ever had. I was 5 and I got alot of gifts, but I was happiest when my uncle and grandparents were there with me.

I would like to be at my son's place in Las Vegas. It's only 120 miles away. I am just hoping for an invite. He has never asked me before. He always goes to his girlfriend's home in southern Calif. and spends the holidays with her and her family. I have the car and the money to get there. I'll even do the cooking!
