in John 10 Jesus says "I and my Father are one" and the Jews began to pick up rocks to stone him.

In verses 32-35 he says, "for which of my good works do you stone me?"
The Jews replied, "we aren't stoning you for good works, but because you, being a man, make yourself God."
Then Jesus says something peculiar, "Is it not written in your law that I said that you are Gods?"

Your thoughts?

the question is was paul a whacko, for real, or just a money-grubbing rat from Jerusalem? he was a lot like p.t. barnum but maybe that is what god needed to get the job done. he travel, preached and wrote until they killed him. damn, he was intense and sincere but that could just mean he was whacko. who knows. holy men like the buddha and jesus tend to be whacko and always ready to die for something.

if so should the potential "daddy" have a say in your choice? if not why not? unless you can prove "immaculate conception",(i am a catholic christian who believes the Church's teaching)

even if you dont believe abortion is killing an unborn child u cannot deny that it is ending a life even if it is only a "lump of cells"...it is still a "living" "lump of cells" independent of your life. Dependent on your body for survival until birth, yet still entirely seperate from you. my beef with abortion is that it is a deliberate act of ending a life, a human life! (trust me you wont be giving birth to say a goat) whichever way you look at it.

why shud the fact that a male doesnt have a womb negate his right to any part in the decisionmaking process?

if you are pro-choice why not consider carrying this life to full-term if "daddy" is willing to take full responsibilty and leave you out of it?...is that even an option in your choices?

Okay, here's the deal: I live on-campus in a university in Canada. Tonight my classmate which is a 50 y/o lady came to visit me and when she was leaving I wanted to go downstairs and smoke with her and when I grabbed my jacket she said "you can't come outside like that, gotta put on trousers" (I was wearing shorts), and I was like why, and she said it's not decent for this time of the year and there are drunk dudes outside and "you HAVE TO put on trousers".

Now I'm disappointed and thinking why would she say such a thing? This is a free country and on-campus housing is a safe place...and I didnt like her telling me what to do but I also didn't want to say it to her face cause I thought it may be too harsh and maybe she was just trying to be nice.

Everybody, please help me out here and tell me how would you feel if someone said that to you. She's quite an open person for a 50 y/o and has a boyfriend herself, it was just so unexpected from her...

I work in a call center (Philippines) for an Auto claims department (US). But sometimes when Im so bored that I dont answer the phone, I just keep them waiting there while Im on mute so they wont hear anything. Or sometimes I just release the call.

Anyway, I feel guilty because all or most of our calls are people who are just involved in an accident or who are in the middle of teh road who needs a tow.

But what can I do, Im soo freakin bored.

I am facing the truth
I got to change the way I live
Can’t go on this way
The price is too high to pay

After the rain I feel the sun
See how I run to my destiny
Life is a game
I got to learn how to play
I make my own rules
’cause now I am free to choose
Courage and faith will show me the way
See how I run to my destiny

Like the Phoenix I rise
From the ashes of life
I don’t need fortune or fame
Just some peace of mind

Like the Phoenix I fly
leaving the lies behind
Future’s golden for me
There is no one who can stop me now

I’m noble and strong
I’m walking down the road that I choose
Each day is a gift
And I know that I can't loose

Glorious future is waiting for me
See how I run to my destiny

Like the Phoenix I rise
From the ashes of life
I don’t need fortune or fame
Just some peace of mind

Like the Phoenix I fly
leaving the lies behind
Future’s golden for me
There is no one who can stop me now

Omg! I just read all about him on wikipedia, and I'm BALLING now! I never cry, but this is just so horrible. I just can't wrap my brain around how a person can be so evil? I honestly just do not understand. What makes someone so evil and why doesn't god stop it.
Thank you, and be safe. It's a dangerous world out there.

I mean, agnostics don’t NOT believe there is a god…apparently there's a difference between not not believing in a god and just believing in a god. That indicates that you guys are pretty indecisive by nature, right?

If you're a true christian, why do you care what others think? Isn't the Faith in God the only thing that matter? Is your faith so weak that you cannot apply: "love your ennemies, do good to those who hate you"?

I think christians are an easy target and that says a lot about the weakness of their faith!

It is funny to me how people go on saying God doesn't exist yet they use all their power to make sure people don't say "under God" in the pledge or make sure everyone says "Happy Holidays". If they believe to strongly that God doesn't exist then should it really matter to them whether Christian and other religious ideas in schools? After all it is all "fake" right?

That is like me saying that the Easter bunny doesn't exist and putting animal traps around my house just in case he decides to show up this year. Isn't all this resistance kind of acknowledge Him and his existence?

Mormonism I can understand since they slapped another book on the bible. But JW`s based their faith on the same book. Just a different interpretation. I thought different interpretations of the Holy Book broke down into different denominations.

My sister, who is not a Sabbath Keeper, has decided to have her bridal shower on a Saturday afternoon. It is going to be at a restaurant at 1pm. I don't want to break Sabbath, but my sister is 40 years old and has waited a VERY long time to get married and this is important to her. What should I do? Should I go.... but not eat or drink? (not allow anyone to serve me?) Should I not go at all and risk causing a bigger rift in our relationship than there already is? How can I handle this in a way that is both pleasing to God and yet, won't hurt my sisters feelings?

Who do they think worked for years and years and paid taxes that built their roads, their hospitals, their schools, their parks, their playgrounds, the military, the whole darn country that they are living in ?

Do these "people" think the flipping stork delivered all of this the same time it delivered them?
