It some cases it can be, but it's not guaranteed. It's possible to worship a fictional god without worshiping any physical idols.

Idol worship is worshipping an object of some sort. In some cultures this can be an image of a false god, Buddah for example (no offense to Buddhists, but the Bible makes it clear that there is only ONE god we should worship, and that is God the Father of Jesus Christ).
Any image or thing can be a god if men make it to be. Some people live for money and wealth, so in a sense, they worship money. Others worship video games, celebrities, sports figures, etcetera. It all depends on one's point of view. Idol worship is included in the false god catagory.

It can be. Idol worship can be when you worship something tangible. Some Christians consider worshiping a gold calf idol worship. A false god can be an idol, or it can be something else, like the worship of money, or anything you exalt higher than God as you understand him/her.

YES. Example: Im sure youve seen the statue of marry and the baby jesus in many churches. That actually is a pagen fertility god and is blasphemy. Research the merger of the church and pagenism and you ll see your surrounded by false god idols. Why is the church invovled in christmas and easter when they are pagen holidays? changing the name doesnt change the act. I wonder if christians read the bible for themselves . i wonder how people can carry on practices and surround themselves with things they know nothing about. Atleast your asking...dont ever stop

An idol being any other God other than God, then if God is the true God and there can only be one God, yes. Of course if there are no Gods, then they're all false and it's just idle (pointless) worship

it depends on your point of view. whose god is not real? whose god is a false god, how do you know? all gods are real just as all beliefs are real because they are so to the person worshipping the gods. we need to practice tolerance in order to save the world, which means more strongly that religion must be more tolerant of the rights of humanity in order for humanity to survive more than another 75 years.
