we dont believe in gods so why should we respect them?
i can understand being asked to respect your right to believe as you choose-that right is at present allowed in this country and others-but to show respect for a god of any kind would be disrespecting ourselves---just my thoughts if you care to answer or comment please feel welcome-thanks in advance for any thoughts-smile and enjoy the day

I am doing a book report on your religion. I have done tons of research and even read some other Muslim questions. But I want to here from Muslims only please just how you truly feel in your hear about your religion and the 72 virgins.

Please no that I am not mocking you or trying to discredit you. Your religion is very interesting to me and I chose to do a book report on it. But even with all my research I thought it would be good to hear these answers from a Muslim of today.

Thank you so much for your input!!!!

Because, from what I can see, most believers seem to think that everyone's interpretation -- excepting their own, of course -- is completely off-base.

Please remember this the next time you are set to call an atheist "arrogant".

"They threaten to detonate a gas tank and blow themselves up."

In my opinion, one is a mental disorder and one is thought to be a mental disorder? Also, thinking you are speaking to another entity doesn't make it so or less disturbed.

And while I'm on this subject, do you think an omnicient diety can't read your mind - why do you have to SPEAK the prayer? and do you really think God has "ears"?

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. [Matthew 21:21]

If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. [John 14:14]

Ask, and it will be given you. [Matthew 7:7]

Nothing will be impossible to you. [Matthew 17:20]

Since many people believe sports (Football/Soccer) as strongly as they do religion, i think it's about time we discuss sports here. It beats the same old questions repeating itself for the millionth time. We need new material here.

The three Abrahamic religions have people in all three classifications of approach to religion. Islam has the Sufis, the tradionalists, and the modernists. Judiasm has the Khaballah, tradionalists like the Hassidic Jews, and progressives. Christianity has had saints who have had visions. It has those who believe in the Bible literally, as well as progressives.
Are these three threads found in other religions as well? Is there really more difference in belief within religions than between them?

The question was deleted twice, even though the asker was trying to promote TD Jakes.

TD Jakes should be in prison for obstruction of justice. He interfered in the Bishop Terry Hornbuckle rape cases, of which Hornbuckle was convicted. Jakes attempted to prevent the mother of a rape victim from being tested for having been drugged and raped, by saying "Listen, Terry is really sorry, so don't do anything". He was aided by that attention hog Deion Sanders. Texas justice is horrible.

Matthew 16:27,28 --

* For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
* Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

He told his followers that he would return before the end of many of their lifetimes. He did not; no return to earth, no judgement day, no rapture....nothing. Wouldn't this put the integrity of the centerpoint of Christianity at question, at the very least?

vision, burden, need and sin? How have you see this played out in your own life?

…We have been told that all paths lead to truth – you have your path as a Hindu and someone else has his path as a Christian and another as a Muslim, and they all meet at the same door – which is, when you look at it, so obviously absurd. Truth has no path, and that is the beauty of truth, it is living. A dead thing has a path to it because it is static, but when you see that truth is something living, moving, which has no resting place, which is in no temple, mosque or church, which no religion, no teacher, no philosopher, nobody can lead you to – then you will also see that this living thing is what you actually are – your anger, your brutality, your violence, your despair, the agony and sorrow you live in. In the understanding of all this is the truth, and you can understand it only if you know how to look at those things in your life. And you cannot look through an ideology, through a screen of words, through hopes and fears.(Krishnamurti)

...and at least two-thirds of humanity are condemned to eternal torture (for not believing in your particular religion), will you smugly say, "Serves them right!" as they're cast into the lake of fire? Or would you follow Jesus' earthly example and ask for leniency on their behalf? After all, if most of the 30 billion or so people throughout the history of humanity were indoctrinated from infancy in the religion of their native culture rather than yours, did they really have a reasonable chance to discover the truth? Do they really deserve to be tortured forEVER due to an accident of their birth?

And if it turned out that it was someone else's religion that was the One, True Path, would you hope that one of the Saved would plead for mercy on your behalf? Or would you walk into Hell with your head held high saying, "You know what? You're right -- I screwed up, and I deserve this..."?

Does this verse mean that Christians cannot confront or rebuke those in the church who may be engaged in the continuous, unrepentant practice of sin?

Is there any biblical support for confronting and disciplining those who are in sin in the church?

Your comments, please?

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite answers.

May God bless you.
