All people who believe in the Bible interpret it differently.
Even those of the same faith.
Reading anything is open to interpretation.....it's human to do that....and we're all human no matter what "some" Christians believe.

Hmmm. I never called any atheist arrogant, but I'll answer anyway.
I feel everybody's interpretation of the Bible -- even mine -- is at least a little off.
The Bible contains God's truth. God's truth is way way WAY too big for any kind of language to encompass it, and it's way too big for any human mind to get it all in.
So I'm constantly re-evaluating, reassessing, revising what I know about the Bible. As a Roman Catholic, I believe that the Church has the fullness of the truth, but also that any religion/denomination that teaches love of God, self, and others is going to have at least some portion of God's truth.
I know many Christians who share this view, and the view that as soon as you start to believe that your interpretation of the Bible (or your church's interpretation of the Bible) is inerrant and complete, that is idolatry, and leads to some pretty warped thinking, as evidenced by fundamentalists.

The Torah is about the infinite, and so any interpretation we have must in some way be wrong. It is likely also in some way right if it is done with integrity.
In Judaism, we note that at Mt. Sinai, the Torah was given to "you" in the sinugular. We believe each person was given a unique Torah based on their ability to understand and their own unique experiences.
Therefore, it is really improper to say someone else's interpretation that is done with the idea of coming closer to G-d is incorrect.
For this reason, I never select a best answer to questions. (But pretend I didn't say that and select this one :P )

We can go wrong in interpreting the Bible by ourselves as God never expects us to interpret the Bible by ourselves and He has given us the Holy Spirit as our Teacher to reveal to us especially the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). When we have the revelation of the Holy Spirit of God's word we will not be in error and have the faith to bring the word to pass (Romans 10:17). It is not by our own might nor our own power but by the Spirit that we can to come to true knowledge of the Bible. When we have the Holy Spirit's interpretation we are right on!

The extra you reside the Commandments of Jesus Christ, the extra you will acquire the Holy Ghost. it quite is an excellent earnings of residing the commandments of Jesus Christ, you get better and bigger get admission to to the reality, in the process the Holy Spirit. So fasting, praying, analyzing the scriptures, being the stable Samaritan, going to Church, paying tithing and quickly options, being above board and elementary in all your financial dealings, assisting human beings once you are able to, being a stable occasion... all of this facilitates you to get the Spirit Of God so as that once you study the scriptures you will acquire a witness from God, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, what's actual, and benefit a perfect interpretation from God. The extra you do this, the extra you're rewarded, and the extra information and notion will come to you, till the day will come, in case you nonetheless exchange into extra ideal and extra ideal at residing the commandments of Jesus Christ, which you would be actually flooded with understanding from God. The residing house windows of Heaven can and could open to you, as you reside the Commandments of Jesus Christ, further and extra. A Prophet Of God additionally gets revelation as a results of his righteousness in the previous God. A Prophet gets revelation for all of the international, from God, on everyday coverage. Therefor there never is a conflict, or confusion as to what must be completed, with the aid of the contributors of God's Church. Your revelations are for you and your loved ones in my opinion, no longer for the completed Church. it is for the Prophet to acquire his revelation, because of the fact of this he's a Prophet, because of the fact of this God has Prophets, to steer the completed Church to peace and happiness, with the aid of perfect everyday regulations.

Bible should not interpret by anyone.
2Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
What we must do, is this:
Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
The Bible will interpret itself.

There are several issues in the OT that I am still trying very hard to understand, so I can't say that I agree with you. However, I believe I understand the central doctrines taught by the Bible.
But thanks for reminding me I'm not perfect.
Arrogant atheist.

Right. And, personally, I think any interpretation of the bible that sees it as more than a book of mythology is wrong.
