The question was deleted twice, even though the asker was trying to promote TD Jakes.

TD Jakes should be in prison for obstruction of justice. He interfered in the Bishop Terry Hornbuckle rape cases, of which Hornbuckle was convicted. Jakes attempted to prevent the mother of a rape victim from being tested for having been drugged and raped, by saying "Listen, Terry is really sorry, so don't do anything". He was aided by that attention hog Deion Sanders. Texas justice is horrible.

Primoa, the prisons are packed with Christians.

TD Jakes is a multimillionaire. Does that mean in the neocon Christian world he is above criticism?

He deserves more than "being picked on". He deserves jail time.

Another non-answer from Lion of Judah. And as bad as Mississippi's justice system may be, yours is worse.

You know what? There's too many Christians that are afraid to speak the truth. TD Jakes is a heretic. He denies the Trinity. That makes him a false prophet

I really liked Bishop Jakes in the early days of his ministry, but I stopped paying attention to him when he went on the Dr. Phil show. I don't think preachers belong in the media anyway, and when he was on the show I never heard him preach that the gospel is the answer to the plight of mankind. His job was to agree with Dr. Phil. I don't have the stomach for that nonsense. That being said, our mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick (Detroit), is in a lot of legal trouble because of his lying and philandering. He needs money for his legal defense fund, and he flew to Dallas and asked Bishop Jakes for money. Bishop Jakes refused. I gained more respect for him after that, and I won't judge him except to say when he is asked to appear on national television, his job is to preach Jesus Christ, not encourage people to be good and obey Dr. Phil.

Hopefully the question will be deleted again. What a horrible thing to accuse someone of anything you do not know for a fact they did. What happened to innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the people? I am assuming that the asker was there, was involved in this whole thing and personally heard what was said so that they can make statements that have solid factual basis. I am not promoting TD Jakes here, just promoting not being slanderous. I feel it unfair for anyone to label people and accuse them without solid proof. Not agreeing with or liking someone is not proof and the media is certainly not a good representation of the truth. Our media in this country is as faulty as our justice system and is even more biased.

I don't really care much for T.D Jakes, or D. Sanders, I live only about 10 Minutes from the Potters House,
He does a lot of Good work here in this State, Though not my style, If You don't like Him and think he interferes in the Justice System in Texas, Then Fine, Don't live here, I live here and am satisfied, I have lived in many states, including Europe, I would rather Live here except for the property taxes around the Big Cities like Dallas,(they are atrocious)
Dallas is getting too big and crowded, and congested.

Why can't we talk about the criminal Bishop TD Jakes?

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Colossians 3:8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

James 4:11 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

TD Jakes is not perfect, he is a man, and I believe a Godly man. He does believe in the Trinity...watch his shows and listen to his CD's and that truth will become evident.
A few years ago I was depressed to the point I was suicidal. I was in a backslidden state; my marriage was on the rocks, bill collectors calling every day...I was broke...financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I was suppose to be a Christian, a man of God, and all I wanted was to die. I had tried to Preach, but felt like a heretic. I drank and gambled...life sucked and I wanted out. I was flipping through the channels one day, trying to find the most violent, sex filled movie on cable, when I came across a heavy set, black, bald Preacher who was preaching the Gospel, and he was preaching to me. He was talking about depression, about Satanic attacks, about enduring the never -ending storms of life...I felt like I had been woke from a coma. I felt I could breathe for the first time in my life...I tried to talk, but tears came, I tried to turn the channel, but I was too weak...then and there, I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. Had it not been for "coming across" the Bishop TD Jakes, I would certainly be dead by now...so in my mind, I owe him a bunch. I am thankful we have Preachers like the Bishiop, Charles Stanley, and Billy Graham...do they make mistakes? Yes, they are men. But like the Apostle Paul who is also under attack these days, they try to help us, by sharing their mistakes and how Christ helped them overcome them. I am not familiar with the situation in which you refer to in your question...if the man, Hornbuckle, is guilty, he should pay...he should go to jail and he should pay for his crime. However, if I was accused, or you were accused of rape...murder...theivery, or any other crime against society...and we felt we were innocent, wouldn't we want a friend to come to our rescue, to do everything they could to help us? Rape is a heinous crime...No means no...but let's be real...a one night stand gone bad, feeling guilty in the morning is not rape...it was a bad decision on behalf of both parties the night before, but things happen. I am glad we have a merciful Savior who is our advocate in Heaven; which to me matters more than any court sysytem on earth. We mess up, but Christ paid the price in blood for all our sins. God's mercy abounds...I am a living example. Now I have meaning: I have a great job helping people, I get to preach the Gosple of Jesus, that same Gospel that the Bishop preached to me, and yes, I use my personal failures to help others through this journey in life.
Now, about your thoughts about Texas justice...brother, Texas executes more criminals than any other state...they don't have the "catch and release program", they have the "do the crime, serve the time" program, and if your crime is sick enough to take innocent life, or a woman's innocense: you get injected with the happy needle or play "shake and bake" the home game; let's face it, if hanging were still legal, criminals would look like marionettes in Texas. But thank God, we have an advocate in Christ, who releases us from our sin. Sorry for the novel, I was bored. God bless. Chris

Why don't we leave mr. Jakes alone and pick on someone who is not a Christian?

You think Texas justice is horrible?

What about the 9 million innocent babies that have been slaughtered since 1974 when abortion became legal?

Let's pick on the 5 supreme court justices who voted in favor of it instead
