Please no that I am not mocking you or trying to discredit you. Your religion is very interesting to me and I chose to do a book report on it. But even with all my research I thought it would be good to hear these answers from a Muslim of today.

Thank you so much for your input!!!!

SamyJ...I have done lots of research and the Quran bible does not say "72" and that is mainly what my report is about. Your religion is so different from mine and I am just trying very hard to understand where you are coming from with it so that I do not put assumptions in my report.

As far as I have learnt Quran does not mention 72 Virgins.
Pious men have been offered pure Virgins in the Heaven. Chapter 56 (Surah al-Waquia) Verses 10 to 40 deals with the blessings for pious and god fearing believers in Paradise.
The verses 22 and 35 refers to "the Virgins". I recommend you to read the English translation and commentaries of these verses of Quran by Moulana Azad or Yusuf Ali. It is easy to refer to these translations of Quran in . Please refer to the commentaries of Moulana Azad on Verses 22, 35 and 36.

the "virgins" is a metaphor. It basically says that you can have whatever you want in heaven, and that you get optimal pleasure out of everything. And what more would a guy desire?
the "72 virgins" is fictional, however

Islam is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is as important as breathing.

Islam is the religeon preached by all the prophets of God. Its exact meaning is to submit to the creator. Through Submission and surrender you get the peace we all search for. It is based on associating no partners with God and beleiving in all His Prophets. We belive that Jesus was an important Prophet as was Moses/Abraham/ Noah and Mohammed PBUH. We beleive in the Torah, Gospel and Quran as divine revelations from God. The Quran being the Final revelation sent to the Final prophet Mohammed.

There is nothing else more interesting to you except this one......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why you pretend to be so honest and naive in your mucky question.??

Anyway , yes there will be 72 virgins in paradise, because we are not interested in the Millions of your non virgin girls in this worldly life . so we keep those millions for you and feel just fine for our only 72
