talked to my christian mother today and we got in a disagreement about where the bible is true....she said that there are many facts that make the bible true and that i should find someone that has studied and went to school to learn about the blibe. she said that great minds have tried to disprove the bible and ended up becoming christian....whats you take on this? I find it hard to believe that the bible is Gods word when so many Men have had their hands on it.... just looking for facts of why it IS or ISNT true

My son said he is gay. Oh what do I do?

I can't let my church find out that I have someone in my family who's gay! Oh what do I do? What are some things that I can do that can change him back to liking girls? I have never had any one in my family who was gay and neither did my husband? Oh we need help!!!

He is 16 years old.

until the child reached an age (16 years) that it could decide for itself about religion, would religion die out and would there be less tension in the world.
If child is born into a Christian family the child becomes a Christian just the same if it was born into a Muslim family it would follow the path of Islam. As parents we all want the best for our children but I´d be interested in other views.

"From the bible you can guess that the earth is about 6-8000 years old. evolutionists have no solid proof that the earth is billions of years old they also have no proof we came from monkeys all they have is 'theories'. so we have nothing to prove to evolutionists because they have nothing to prove to us. God is real and he is here and he saved us from our sins. that is something evolutionists don't get and I'm sorry if this is harsh but they are really blind they cant see the proof that is in front of them."

It's not only blatently false, it makes me naucious thinking that others believe it to be true.... your thoughts?

the bible is clear that there will only be a few in the end that kept his commandments and Love his son. We know it will be hard and we will be hated. but he will provide a hand full of corn on the mountain top. the road is wide the travelers are few. Accourding to accepted science, the Big Bang is how we got here, and we (people) couldn't have ended up here unless the big bang set in motion some sort of evolution (or the theory is wrong - whichever)
SO because of that, the big bang, requires evolution, to complete it's means of getting us here.

AND evolution from a big rock, to chemical soup, to amebas, to fish or whatever, so dinosaurs? then to small animals, then to everything else, requires that when we began -
which the big bang theory states was a big bang
we had a hunk of rock and carbon and nitrogen.
So those things had to fuse to create all other naturaly accouring chemicals, which then had to chance get together and create living organisms.
THAT ^^ is in no way reproducable, and therefor is not a scientific theory.

Is there are spiritual explanation (besides the christian faith and the "devil") about why so many people are so rude, mean, two-faced, backstabbing, ignorant, and just willfully nasty?
