That's horrible - she should be happy that he's finally happy. That's what matters in life.

I think it is a genuine question. Some people are so horrified by homosexuality (and they have the right to be) that when they discover someone close to them who is gay they are too stunned to know what to do. I used to be that way, but have accepted that gays are just people, no different than straights, except who they want to love.

I think it is a valid question. She has no idea how to react to this in a positive manner- nothing in her life has prepared her for this eventuality and she needs some information. She needs to know that her son is more important than posturing for the congregation of her "church" and that gay is not a disease.

There was a post similar to this not too long ago that was shown on the FSTDT website, where the woman was saying how she told her son that he could "save" himself if he just went to church and cast aside his desires, (etc. etc.). About a month later, the woman wrote back again because her son had committed suicide.
Very sad that people can't be accepting and supportive of the people that love and trust them, in favor of dictation from a 2000 year old book written by ignorant, uneducated, middle-eastern sheep herders.
Religion is poison.

I think this woman goes to Church for people and not God. Her son is gay so what? If she had faith even the size of a mustard seed she would know that God has a way of working things out for his people. She is faithless and a people pleaser. Just my thought

I think the question is a little over dramatized.
I can almost see the lady put the back of her hand to her forehead and feign fainting!

Pray that he comes back to a relation with the Lord, who is the creator and He (Jesus) would heal him from this deviation

All I know is that I feel sorry for the kid. He's going to have a miserable life until he gets away from his parents.
