Would you help someone outside the United States who really needs to collect a great amount for some medical operation which would save his life? Or you help Americans only?

Knowing that I can't help everyone, I have decided to never fly over a mission field to get to a mission field. As long as there are hungry, cold people in my own community, I will give to them.

The answer while seemingly simple is not.

Like most people of my generation and younger, I monitor carefully where my donations go. I do give and I try to give more than my share. But the days of trusting an existing charity or even church are over.

I carefully choose the charities I give donations. Personally I try to do as much as possible locally but I would not hesitate to help overseas IF I know all the details of the situation. I do not support religious missions abroad for a number of reasons.
One of which is that I see far too many hungry children in my own city.

Peace to all....Lily
